We bought a mattress on a one-day sale at the Bay Yorkdale. The salesman wasn't very knowledgable, which was frustrating but the mattress was comfortable and the price was right. We picked a date for delivery and were assured that changing the date would be no problem.
We were having some painting done and needed to change the date. HUGE problems. Called the customer service center (in India) and was given another date. Stayed home that day but they show. Called (India) again and was told that the date I had book had not been a "firm" date. What? The service rep told me that because I had cancelled my first date I had to wait for a new mattress and it would be at least a month before we could get it delievered.
Called the store and soon had another service rep call to schedule a delivery within the week. But when the delivery men arrived, they didn't have the split boxspring we had ordered and the mattress was ripped. They also left dirty handprints all over our walls.
It took another week to get a new boxspring and mattress.
For all of this hassle, the Bay gave us a $75 credit but that wasn't enough for us to ever consider bying furniture from them again.
