We had a tumbled brick interlocking patio with retaining walls placed around a new pool and to the house back in May 2007. I have to admit the job was done quickly but maybe too quickly with all the faults we have had since day ONE. Not to mention a drunk seeking little shots all day during work.
The first day, it rained at the end of the day and we had water in the basement leaking from the new work around the window. Funny because they told me they did such a great job, there was no way it would leak. I called immediately, no one came until the next day. They explained the problem, said more money and all this work so my husband did it himself and no problem since....at least there. There was a dip in the open area we notice a few weeks later, huge puddles formed whenever it rained or water from the pool was splashed up in this spot. Made a second call to come out, took a while so I took pictures to show the puddles and it got fixed at the end of the summer. I noticed the retaining walls sinking on both sides of the patio, called about 10 times and was then told to wait until the spring for all settling to have finished. It was so bad on one side, my husband had to keep adding sand to keep the bricks from sinking down. This was near the shallow end so lots of traffic. We had to be extra careful with the kids around this area. Spring 2008 came and went, I called, no return calls, no one showed up until September and again told it would be done as a repair, it would take the day, it all had to be ripped up, I took the day off, no one showed up or called. I placed another call to customer service which is some woman who doesn't know anything but just takes the call. Ron called me back and said it would get done and it didn't AGAIN. Talk about your lip service. I'm just getting lip, no service. I wait for the thaw of 2009, called April 20 for repair job. Was told by rude woman again that workers would be at my home Friday, April 24 in the morning. Again, I took the day off, no one showed. I called and asked what was happening and this woman tells me there is no record of my call or a job order. I have had it. I'm still waiting for the owner, Ron to call me. They take your money, do a piss poor job and never come back to do customer service. I have referred other companies who I wished I had used and I don't even know what their work is like but there is no way in hell I would refer Sure-Loc to anyone on the face of the earth. Looks like the only way to get my patio repaired is to go to court and have them pay for someone else who is obviously qualified to do the work and may actually show up.
NEVER USE SURE-LOC INTERLOCKING for any job big or small. I rated a 1 because it wouldn't allow me to use 0.
