Solocrete was recommended to me by a client who was really impressed with a pool patio he had done. They got the concrete with the little colourful stones exposed and thats what I wanted. I now know its called exposed aggregate. They guys came in crews, the first to excavate, later that day a crew to make the forms. I got some advice on adding a step and perfecting my shape. Good advice! We had a couple rain days but then they were back. They poured and then the next day they power washed and the stone were exposed. They also put a sealant on a couple days later to protect it. Our new walkway and patio are gorgeous and they charged me less than they originally quoted. (Ive never experienced that before) All the guys were polite, friendly and there seemed to be good camaraderie amongst the workers, which was nice.
