Rona Home & Garden - Warden Ave

I always try to support a Canadian company first before going elsewhere, like Rona. But, one thing that really turns me off about Rona is that there are no customer service reps around when you have a question. Home Depot is not the greatest for this (although it used to be), but when compared to Rona, Home Depot looks pretty good. Plus I find Rona's prices always higher than Home Depot. I've lost patience with this company - suggest that they hire more people to provide quality service. The only time I found a customer service rep at Rona was when they had a 1 day sale...very frustrating.

Being an infrequent visitor of Rona, I was pleasantly surprised by this particular visit and subsequent ones after. There was an abundant number of sales associates available for assistance. I was able to obtain help within 2 minutes of looking for help. I was able to find everything I needed and receive helpful information about my project (new shower tiles, sink, paint, and plumbing). Thanks Rona, keep up the good service; it will keep me coming back.

My wife and I had decided to install hardwood on the main floor of our house (nice java coloured Ash). But we needed to get the tools to install it (we were doing it ourselves). We looked in many stores and compared prices, we happened to be in the area of the Rona and decided to take a look there. We found exactly what we were looking for. The Hardwood floor gun came with 200 nails (2 gauge steel) and the package also came with a finishing nailer and Brad nailer. We had the help of some of the staff while finding the tools. It was great, good price and good service.

Overall, very pleased with the prices and timely free delivery. On average, Home Depot lumber prices are higher and they charge per delivery order. I compared Rona to Home Depot and Central Fairbanks, and they had better prices on almost every size and length of lumber that I needed, including plywood. Highly recommend Rona for lumber.

I was very satisfied with the quality of the lumber. Wood was straight with almost no noughts.
They were very helpful when I had questions on the different products.
Thier knowledge on the advantages and disadvantages for the different products for the different applications was very good.

Because they didn'nt have the people to bring down the bath that we wanted at the store, they offered to delliver later that day, the bath we choose for free. This is very good service!

Rona is very similar to Home Depot, very competitive pricing and not so knowledgeable staff. Since there aren't as many Rona locations, it only makes sense to go there instead of Home Depot if it's closer to you. Otherwise, stick with Home Depot.

We recently bought a house in Scarborough, which had not been renovated in 40 years. A lot of work had to be completed and we were stressed out. That's when we started visiting Rona very frequently. Rona made the renovation process easier for us. We found their customer service to be very exceptional on our first visit and we have been going there for the past two years. Everyone from all sections that we have visited (starting from the painting to the gardening section) were always ready to help us each time we visited and very informative. I have learned quite a lot from my visits to Rona and will continue going there as often as needed.
