Roes Stair Co

I will keep this review purely factual.
Rob from Roe's company first visited my place for the initial estimates.
#1 During the conversation he clearly mentioned that without riser stairs will be cheaper than stairs with risers. by the time stairs were to be delivered, it was revealed that the stairs are being made with paint grade risers. Never asked for risers, never asked for paint grade. On reminder to change back to what was originally discussed, additional $8000 were charged.

#2 During the same conversation Rob mentioned that it will take 5 weeks for the end to end process and he also mentioned that stairs are brought to site as a single structure and will be installed in a single day. what was concealed that nosing will be installed weeks later and railing even further later by weeks. End to end process took 3 months.

#3 Spindle design was finalised and paid for, but spindles delivered were completely different. Rob and Roe's offered us 1000 discount to accept their mistake. We declined and they had to replace with the ones we ordered.

#4 Please check attached picture to see the installation. The stringers were cut more than an inch short. The fillers were provided but they are of different shade.

Now they have stopped responding to my emails.

Exceptional! Roes was brought in to help fix a basement renovation that was going terribly wrong. From the start the owners son talked to us with his recommendations to when the last worker left - Roes service was ouststanding. They had to customize the entire staircase to fit the mess of the original general contrator. Roes installers are true craftsman and came back several times to make sure it was perfect.
