In my experience, you get what you pay for. I moved from a 915 sq foot condo to a house. The drive was about 40 minutes. I paid about $1200. I would easily do this again. The three movers were professional, polite and very personable. They really worked their butts off getting all my things to its destination. They took apart this monstrosity of a closet and brought it to the basement. That alone was worth hiring them. We went over the estimated time, but these guys were really working hard.
I will honestly never move myself again. It's so much easier to get these guys to do it for you. Completely stress free move.
