Red Dog Roofing

I got four roof quotes from roofers that know their trade. I got the names from Homestars.ca and chose the highly rated ones with several comments. Paul from Red Dog Roofing provided the least expensive quote ($9,200). The quotes I received were from $14K-$20K for new shingles and a flat roof replacement, as well as curent shingle removal (at least two layers). I was shocked at the prices because I have a postage-stamp sized semi!

I held off for a year and my new neighbours also wanted to re-do their shingles Great! We can now match shingles. They got a quote from a big-name roofer and nearly gagged (and I got another $20K quote from them). I had Paul re-quote for both of us. My side was only $300 more than his last quote and their side was half of the expensive roofing quote.

It took the spring of the next season to get the work done because the weather the previous fall was too wet to do our jobs. The workers arrived on time and worked dilligently. The work took as long as Paul had predicted (two days). The crew cleaned up the debris well. The roof looks great. It's been a few months and things are still fabulous. We've had a couple of crazy rainfalls since installation and the roof is working like a charm.

I highly recommend Paul. Consider you may have to "wait your turn" because he is in high demand, but the wait is worth it.
