Almost finished staining my ugly 1970s brick fireplace before the new gas insert is installed. The company kindly sent me 4 colour samples, from which I chose 2, to complete a two tone stain of the brick. Delivery of stain was ultra fast. I am gobsmacked at the tranformation, the stain is easy to use & applies well. My gas insert installer was so impressed he may stain his own fireplace! Thank you so much, PermaTint!

We can't say thank you to PermaTint enough. We recently added an addition to our home and the brick didn't match at all. How and why we ended up with a completely different brick is a long store. We hated it but were stuck with it. I was googling what could be done to fix the problem when I found PermaTint. Our addition now looks like it belongs. It no longer sticks out like a sore thumb. Ray is a true craftsman. The colour matching he achieved exceeded our expectations. Ray did an AMAZING job!! We love it! The before and after pictures speak for themselves. we ran out of product mid job and the permatint folks responded immediately. they had a new batch mixed and at the job site (300 kms away) in less than 21 hours.

The guy who did the job was very friendly and colour matched very well. The house is transformed BUT job is not done and stain was left splattered in many areas.

In emailing, it has taken at least 3 days each time to get a response. Not much info was given up front, I had to ask questions and wait for a reply. Our first appointment was scheduled for a holiday and rescheduled only when I called a couple days before to ask if they were coming on a holiday. After the first day, we asked for sills to also be stained. Despite confirming we would pay the extra, they weren't done. There are missed spots by the front door. Splatters of stain were left on the fence, parging, garden rocks, banister, etc. Some plants were also crushed. Nearly a week later and we have heard little in regards to this and have no sense of whether the job will be done.

UPDATE (August 2017) The company did send people out to clean up the splatters. 90% of them are taken care of. Some still exist on parging and window/door frames. After contacting permatint, they left a bucket of colour matched stain for us to finish the job and discounted the cost to deal with the problems we encountered.

A recent renovation involving our brick exterior left us with mismatched brickwork around a door and a window. In addition, the masonry workmanship was very shoddy, with mortar smeared across the brickwork. It was an unsightly mess. We called Brian Baird at PermaTint Limited and the problem was solved in short order. What this company did was truly remarkable. They custom tinted each mismatched brick, as well as the mortar, with a silicate-based masonry stain. End result: you could not tell the difference between the old brick and the new. Ray, the technician that was sent to do our job, was a true artist. Their service was top notch and their rates are very reasonable. To the lads at Permatint, we can't thank you enough for the excellent service and the craftsmanship that you provided.
