I visited the showroom 10 weeks to the day before moving into our new condo. We specifically chose finishes that would not delay the delivery or increase the risk of a late delivery. Nevertheless - we got a call to schedule installation over two weeks after we moved in. So, we ended up living out of boxes for two weeks waiting for closets.
Then two weeks ahead of delivery, I specifically requested the bedroom closet be delivered on day #1, and the LR on day #2. A simple enough request. On day #1, I moved ALL the furniture out of our bedroom into the LR to accommodate the installation, and received a call at 9:30 to say "we're doing the LR unit first".
So, I had to move EVERYTHING out of the LR (remember it is also filled with bedroom stuff now) into even higher piles elsewhere.
They did not finish as scheduled, so we could not unpack stuff into that unit overnight - and the piles of remained.
They did not finish the bedroom closets the next day either - and being the Labour Day weekend - we had no choice but to go away for the weekend - when we should have been unpacking and getting ourselves organized.
It was all finished on the Monday. Our doorman never wants to see the installers again as there were several altercations over parking and damage.
I DID get a $500 rebate - but my mood was so black after dealing with them, it seemed a very minor recompense for what we had been through.
The quality is good enough, but the price is NOT worth it in my opinion.
I decided to go IKEA for our den unit, despite misgivings over quality. It cost 1/10th of the price, I did the installation in 1/2 day and I am very happy with the result.
