Orchard Ridge Homes Sorbara Group

Multiple delays with my closing. This home builder is a complete disaster. The Construction of the homes are really poor and the finishing are beyond awful, for what we paid Im truly shocked . Ive never seen such an un-organized group in all my years. No communication between the different people ive spoken to regard some serious issues that have happened this winter. Warranty is disgusting to deal with and try to push extras and compensation to make my Tarion list go away, how sad is that?

Purchased a New Home from Sorbara Group in Prairewood Stouffville. When I took possession of my home it was only 60% complete. Customer Service is horrible the afterservice is non exsistant. It's like buying a $1M home to finish it yourself. From the date of purchase Sorbara's employees were all replaced numerous times from the directors to the handyman. At the end of the day you dont know who you are dealing with. They are so disorgainized that they charge you for upgrades that are included in your new home purchase. I bought 2 new homes from other builders and this is by far the worst builder.

Worst customer service ever , was treated like i owe them a thank you for buying a house from them . Been over a year and still outstanding work to be done .Quality of build is good though finishes are terrible quality . better off not finishing until after close and get quality product

Purchased a home from Orchard ridge homes in Stouffville and it has been a nightmare. Home was unfinished and was forced to close. It has been months since and exterior is still not completed. After construction service is the worse. Dealing with head office is like trying to get through a brick wall. The lack of client service is appaling, was promised a lot in the sales office but treated like strangers once they have your cheque. BUYERS BEWARE! This is my 5th new built and I have never seen anything like this before. I am now considering going to the mayor of Stouffville for some help. It has been a lot of frustrations in the last few months

My fiance at the time had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and we decided to live in the Durham Region due to the proximaty to GTA hospitals and some of her familly members. As i did not wish to continually pay rent we decided to buy a home, we also decided to go with new construction and purchase the upgades so she would not have to endure repeated contractors and stress given her health situation and the fact that I work in Alberta which means I would not be there to monitor and deal with any work we wished to complete to an older home. Running out of space, in short: YEARS OF GRIEF and now have a 3 year old home which requires in excess of $115,000 in work to bring it to a minimum code requirements> BEWARE OF SOBRARA GROUP HOLMES They were continually made aware of the ongoing issues and problems and chose to due nothing. The area is prime, building delayed by over a year. Builder even had a better quality kitchen presented AND in black and white on the legal buying paperwork, but they chintzed out and gave all purchasers a lesser-quality kitchen forcing people to suck it up or have to pay for an upgrade.

Disappointing after-service from the customer relations.

My fridge was fixed 3-4 times and the supplier won't even take my calls anymore even though the "auto-defrost" cycle doesn't work.

If it weren't for the fact the area appreciated since, and I love it otherwise, I'd have given this builder an even lower rating.

The House had minor problems when we moved in. Within a few months it had major problems. We were misled to about services suppose to have been done. Contractors never showed up for scheduled work. Asked to sign off on work yet to be completed.

I had a few minor questions but the staff took the time to make sure I was happy with my home and comfortable with the choices I made. They went the extra mile to ensure I was a satisfied homeowner. I will recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a home, as I understand they are active in Toronto, Brampton, Oshawa, and throughout the GTA.

There has been vast improvements made to Orchard Ridge Homes, Valleycreek Site, in the past 2 months after some new employees joined the site. The new Service Representative, Simon, is fabulous and has responded to our needs in an excellent manner. Being one of the first new home owners to move in we had a lot of issues the builder was trying to resolve.
