I took NK Movers to court. First, they quoted around $600, ended up changing over $1,100 + HST. The guy who was doing the moving told me that NK Movers had the same practice, quoting lower to gain the client, then increasing the price on site the day you have to move. Second, they damaged my piano, one bed, and a very expensive printer. They didn't care. They will take forever to take care of your complaint, then they will find all excuses possible to deny everything. If you want to contact them to follow up your complaint, you will need to call from a different number than the one they have in their files or to show up in their office. NK Movers took about hour an a half from Scarborough to Oshawa. The reason? The tires of their truck were "having issues," and said that they had to drive very slowly. They charge per hour! Besides court, I put a complaint at Consumer Protection Ontario and BBB. They never answered the two notifications from BBB to clarify the complaint.
