Our home was about 6 years old and had a completely unfinished basement. We had a rough idea of what we wanted in terms of a layout. Reiner's plan incorporated our basic ideas and really improved upon them:
- curved walls that made the space flow
- reworking HVAC ducts to minimize the number of bulkheads
- hiding all the support columns inside the walls
- clever use of space for a shower, built-in bookcases, cupboards, wall niche, etc.
He also accommodated a number of our "unusual" requests (such as a sound isolated media room) and suggested design elements that echoed features on our main floors (such as rounded corner bead).
Throughout the project he and his team were professional, attentive to our questions and ultimately delivered a great finished product for us. We haven't had to call them back for anything in the 4 years since he completed the basement (their work was really that good). One of the unexpected results of the project was that our basement doesn't feel like a basement. It is an incredibly functional and integrated part of our home. We love spending time in it.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Just Basements (and Reiner) to anyone considering their services. In fact I have (and continue to) to this day.

- $50,000.00
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Don't rush the project. You are going to live with the results for years to come. Spend time planning upfront and don't put time pressure on the crew doing the work. Give them the time they need to complete the job properly.

Thank you for the kind words. You're basement was definitely a challenge from a design stand point, but it turned out to be one of the more interesting designs to implement. The best part, your wife did an "amazing" job with the decorating aspect of the project. She really has a great eye for interior decorating.
