I contacted Insta-Insulation after discovering only 4-5" (R18?) of blown-in cellulose insulation in my attic.
Trevor inspected my attic and gave me an estimate to upgrade my insulation to R50 levels. He noted that the builder also failed to adequately ventilate the attic. His estimate included baffles in every rafter bay. Baffles prevent the insulation from blocking the soffit vents -- and allows air to circulate within the attic.
A few days prior to the install date, I received a reminder email which also included preparation tips (e.g. if the attic hatch is in the closet, clear its contents).
The installation crew called me 30 minutes prior to their arrival. Dave and Chris were professional and courteous. They also allowed me to take a peek at what they were doing in the attic. The process from start-to-finish was about 2 hours.
