After finding an attic full of mould, I spoke to Trevor at the Home Show in Ancaster and called him the following week. He promptly came out, assessed the situation and provided me with an explanation of what would need to be done along with costing on the job. After I accepted the proposal, I was called immediately to set up a time for the work to be done - which was within a week. The first crew arrived as scheduled to remove all the old insulation. They worked diligently and when they finished there was no sign that they had even been here. The mould removal was assigned to a different company, Advanced Mould Solutions. They came on the second day and looked after the mould problem and treated the wood so that the mould would not return. Then on day 3 another crew from Insta Insulation came and replaced the insulation to a value of R50, as well as adding ventilation to the attic. Once again they were on time and completed the job with no mess, leaving everything as it was. Any questions I had along the way were answered by all three crews. The house has seemed warmer since the task was completed but with temperatures outside going up I will have to wait to see how this affects my heating and cooling. Most importantly, I feel safer knowing that the attic is no longer full of mould. I would certainly recommend Insta Insulation.
