We had 14 windows plus a patio door installed and are very pleased with the quality, appearance, installation and pre and post sales help and service.
Before choosing Inline Fiberglass we did a lot of research as this was a major expense. Though fiberglass was our preferred material due to its strength, stability, and insulating qualities we did compare with vinyl and wood as we thought fiberglass might be too expensive. However we found Inline Fiberglass had an excellent reputation and their pricing to be very competitive. They actually manufacture the fiberglass components here in Canada.
Their product consultant Dmitry was very patient and helpful in explaining the various options, guiding us to final decisions on colours, sizes, and styles. We met with Dmitry at least twice at his office where he toured us through the factory, and twice at our home where he did measurements and made recommendations. We never felt rushed or pressured.
There is no doubt that our new windows have added several times their cost to the value of our home. Everyone who sees them remarks on how handsome they look.
Mike and Tony with their crew did an excellent job of installing and sealing everything. They did bring in a second crew to help get the job done faster as it was already cold weather. Unfortunately the second crew were not as detailed and we had some minor issues. But Mike and Tony were quick to come out and take care of things once I contacted them. Somewhere in delivery the door handles on the patio door were damaged, but Inline replaced them immediately with no problems.
Like many of the reviews here have noted, there was a long wait to get our windows and we were told about that up front. Dmitry made it clear that they would stay as close to schedule as possible but that they had a heavy production demand and that weather can play havoc with scheduling installation. In the end it was not all that bad. The installation crew delivered all the windows and remarkably had them all installed in two days.
We are especially pleased with the massive picture window (it took 5 men to lift) installed in our kitchen (replacing two smaller windows with sliders). It allows us to truly enjoy the ravine view. Old, triple, single hung front windows in the living room were replaced with a large picture window with casements on either side, giving the front of our home a more attractive look. For some of the smaller windows such as in the on-suite bath and side bedroom windows we chose awning style, which has been marvelous because we can open them for air even when raining. For our large family room and dining room windows we chose an awning style upper portion and a large, fixed lower pane (replacing a large upper pane with lower sliders). Again, great for letting in fresh air while permitting a clear view out the lower portion both when sitting or standing.
Speaking of clear view, the quality of the glass and coatings is so good that when my sons came to view the work going on they asked when the kitchen window would be installed, even though they were actually looking at it (and through it) already in place.
We chose triple pain glass and Dmitry guided us on which coatings to choose. Thanks to the triple pane glass and fiberglass frames noise from vehicles or people talking outside is dramatically reduced, to the point that the sounds are barely noticeable; our A/C runs less in the Summer; and the heating does not come on nearly as often in the cold weather.
All of the windows open and close easily with secure latches and seals.
In our experience it is difficult to find reliable, quality manufacture and service. So we did well choosing Inline Fiberglass. It was worth the wait.
