Ikea - North York

I have to say that I am quite happy with Ikea in general. The furniture is affordable, classy and stylish. Best of all it is kid-friendly, doesn't cost an arm and leg and if damaged - can be easily replaced. I bought a shelf over a year ago and even without a receipt, Ikea was willing to let me exchnage for something else. In our house, we have Ikea tables, shelves, TV stands, sofas and beds. The toys are also great for the kids, from tents, stackable cups, puppets and doll furniture. My 3 year old thinks going to Ikea is such a treat, we have bought everything Ikea for her in her room. I would highly recommend Ikea to anyone because of its great value, great service and the whole shopping experience in general. It is a fantastic store, not sure what we would do without it!!

The best think I like about Ikea are the ideas it gives me to decorate my own home. I do not like getting furniture there as I find it is cheaply made and does not last the test of time. There is a great selection of great priced carpets. I love the choice in Kitchen gadgets and Pictures. All in all, I take the good with the bad and continue shopping there frequently.

What I loved most was their fair prices and how many options they provide. I love to walk around the mock up rooms and see how everything may fit together.

I purchased several shelving units recently to organize a home office, not only are they useful, but they're very fashionable as well. I especially like the dark colored woods - they make things look very "designer". I was also at Ikea the other day, they have several new items in - a lot of them look very similar to things at designer stores on King street. It's a great place to buy decent priced furniture!!

We went in to buy some lighting for our bedroom and found an associate very quickly. They helped us by listening and pointing us in the right direction. We had a very pleasant experience.

Though we went in on the last day of the 'pay no tax' event we still got what we needed. The service was great and I would recommend them to all my friends.

The Billy bookshelves at Ikea are truly versatile. From bookcase to CD/DVD storage to clothing storage. It works anywhere in our home. Affordable and comes in pleasant finishes that will work in any home.

I make a trip to Ikea at least twice a year to stock up on cheap necessities. Bedding, towels, and kitchen gadgets are always available at good rates. They also have great selection in modern textiles for do-it-yourself projects. Quality of the furniture is not great, but it's cheap enough to justify.

IKEA Etobicoke is a better shopping experience. Parking lot and store layout are better. Lights are often out in the marketplace in the North York Location. Plus, all the construction with condos in the area is making the NY location harder to access.

I have recently purchased a living room set from Ikea, including a sofa, coffee table and other items. I thought the value was excellent and the quality of the product was beyond my expectations. The instructions were easy to follow regarding assembly, and many of the items were multipurpose and innovative. I will definitely recommend this store to any homeowner and will purchase here again.

I needed two doors for two built-in closets. Nothing at the building centers was the right size. Wandered through the big parts bin called Ikea and found two doors meant for bedroom armoirs that fit the bill.
