I ordered a Natuzzi Sofa from Evan @ Home Style; I was quoted a 4-month delivery time, and my sofa is supposed to arrive mid-May. In the end, the Sofa took 5 months to arrive.
Post-sale, Evan avoided questions about delivery and said "we'll call you when it arrives", that is NOT comforting when they're holding onto a 25% deposit.
Home Style also pre-charges your credit card about a week before delivery which caused me a bit of grief.
The delivery guys were EXTREMELY late, and did not arrive until 7:00PM of the schedule date. Luckily I had nothing to do that day, otherwise it would have been a wasted day for me.
Home Style *COULD* be a good company to deal with IF Evan learns to have better salesmanship skills. He needs to learn to take care of his customers and not brush them off post-sales.
Overall the experience was mediocre, I probably will not be buying from them or recommending them to anyone.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $4,000.00
- What could this company do to improve their services?
- Provide a better post-sale customer experience. Provide customers with realistic delivery dates. Don't bill the customer's credit card pre-delivery. Take a smaller deposit.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Negotiate a smaller deposit (10-15%), be more forceful with Evan. Make sure you get everything in writing - delivery date, fabric color, model, etc. etc. etc.
