Painting

The different types of paints and brands were clearly described and their recommendations were valuable. They also spend time to teach and recommend the proper painting procedures and for those of us who paint their own walls not very often, these 15mins training were absolutely valuable.

Bathroom Renovation

we loved everything this Home Depot had to offer. Quality products with a great variety of products. THe Kohler toilets are great and work very well. We like doing a custom built shower stall with tiles.

deck

Being someone who had no experience in building a deck, Sam was of great assistance. He went through the type of material to use based on the dimension and size, cost, the amount of time required to put the whole project together and the ease to work with the material. Without his help, I don't think I could complete the project on time. Thanks Sam for all your help!

We just bought a bunch of stuff for our backyard from this Home Depot and the staff was really really helpful. From start to finish, we got all of our questions answered and the staff were knowledgable and helped us make educated, cost effective choices. We were very happy with the service.

general purchases

Just wanted to say I prefer home depot over all to their competitors. I find the staff to generally be very helpful and knowledgeable. They do need to work on their phone system though - hold times are too long when trying to get through.

Silestone Countertop

I bought a Silestone countertop through HomeDepot. I had my new Ikea cabinets installed by my own people. After my cabinets were installed, the countertop people came in and measured everything. Two weeks later they came to install the countertop on a Friday around 3pm. They then said the cabinets weren't level enough. So my renovation team was on site and said they would need about 20 or 30 minutes the fix the slight problem and the Silestone guys would not help. They said that time was too long and they then left. I called homeDepot and had to pay them $400 to get them to come back to finish the installation which took them about 3 or 4 hours. So, the actual kicker was that the cabinets weren't out of level, it was their installation technique that was most of the problem. It was the lack of proper support over a lazy susan corner. So, after installation I called the store manager and they said it's not their problem, too bad for me. Wow, if I treated my customers this way I would be out of business! I pais $3000 and they couldn't wait for 20 minutes, nevermind even helping. Anyway, the countertop is beautiful, however the manager at that store is lacking any customer service courtesy.
