Home Depot - Victoria

We obtained 3 different quotes for new countertops for our kitchen and bathrooms. One was from Home Depot as the price quoted in store per sq ft looked very reasonable. Also so much info. on Home Depot about great prices vs competitors. In order to get a quote from Home Depot you need to pay a $150 fee and if you go with the install they take it off the price. The other two businesses who quoted did not charge a fee. This should have been a warning. Home Depot did come out and quote and their quote was $3000 higher than other quote even though exactly same material. Turns out they give you one free sink cut and then you pay for every additional sink. Yes, even if you are ordering 4 rooms - big project. Also instead of charging for the actual sq ft for the bathroom backsplash they charge 1/2 sq ft vs. 1/3 sq ft which adds up. Also additional charges that other companies do not charge. Very frustrated as none of this was outlined in the store. We wasted $150 and I totally feel we were misinformed. Very disappointed and now will question any further purchase from Home Depot. Home Depot called us to see if we wanted to proceed with the purchase and I mentioned all the extra costs. The person on the phone said they would contact the installer and get back to me. No one called back. We held off on our project for almost two weeks and then just went with another company. I submitted a complaint online and I was contacted by someone at Home Depot head office then he forwarded me to someone else (who was very rude) and then I was told someone else had to talk to me as they didn't deal with kitchens. No one has called me. Why did they call me then? Very frustrated as so much time wasted. HIGHLY DO NOT recommend getting countertops through Home Depot

The guys showed up and said they would be done in an hour and seemed to be in a big rush. A quality supervisor arrived during installation and I expressed my concerns about some spots that were missed during the spraying of the reflective paint and the problem was corrected. The insulation that gets sprayed down the vent holes in the A/C closet and water heater closet makes a big mess and was left untended. The salesman (who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly) promised to come by after the installation to check the job out but I never heard from him. Despite these glitches I was pleased with my purchase overall and would recommend Home Depot and your sub-contractors for insulation installation. Thank you.

Bought all my fencing supplies here, great store, nice people. Even bought a plastic shed here! No need to pay a big company to build a fence just do it your self and take a vacation to hawaii on the cash you save! Thats what I did!

The work was professionally done, high quality, good value. We love it! The guys were very willing to deal with scheduling changes, and cleaned up well after themselves. There were some problems with a couple of the units, but they took care of the damaged pieces quickly.
