New Furnace, A/C, Tankless Water Heater
We were initially referred to this company by family. They have done great work for them.
Initially, we were very satisfied with the price and the salesman, Edward. All of the products installed works well and there are no problems. We got a Carrier Infinity Furnace and A/C and a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater. The furnace and a/c are highly energy efficient, quiet, and powerful. Also, there are no problems with the tankless and we enjoy unlimited amounts of hot water.
Unfortunately, the contractors installing the equipment were sloppy, lazy, and messy causing damage our home. They drilled several holes into the wall to find the "right" place and did a sloppy job mudding and caulking around the holes they used for venting. 6 months later, the mud and caulk are already starting to crack. There were fingers wiped on the wall, and finger prints in the mud and caulk. Some holes to the outside were left unfilled completely. At one point, the contractor drilled through the wall at the level of our hardwood floors, damaging our floor. After the job was complete, I received a phone call from one of the contractors claiming that I had thrown out the "sticker" on the water heater rental they were replacing because he could not find it. I stayed with him on the phone as I searched through the house but I found him to be rude and impatient. He said that they would not be able to return rental until unless we had the sticker or else I would have to pay fees. The next day, he called and said he found it in his truck, not offering an apology for his mistake and for the stress he caused.
We had this work installed at the end of December and it was only recently that I discovered the aesthetic problems. After contacting High Life, we got a mere apology for the sloppy work. When I asked for follow up and for the problems to be fixed twice in the last month and have yet to receive a response. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt before posting a review but I doubt I will get any response.
I guess overall their products are good and I would recommend them to others. However, you have to make sure to keep an eye on the contractors doing the install. \
We bought a new furnace, A/C and tankless water heater to increase the value of our home. The aesthetic damages they caused decrease the value of our home.
