Poor experiences over the years

I found that the sales staff could not care whether or not you enter the store. I guess you should dress up for the visit. The furniture looks nice, but they are not always well made. I purchased 6 leather kitchen chairs. After 3 years each chair ripped in the seam where the back meets the seat. Note that this happened on both sides of the chair, on all 6 chairs! I spoke to the owner about it and his response was that the manufacturer no longer makes that chair. They did continue to make the identical chair in fabric. I guess the manufacturer also noticed the defects.

I asked if there were any similar chairs that could be discounted so that I could replace the defective items at a reasonable price. They told me that they could sell me the fabric version of the chair at a discount. I then looked at the price tag and found out that the chairs were on sale for the same price quoted to me. So much for the special discount.

About 5 years before that, I purchased a kitchen table. I arrived to pick up the table and they loaded it into my van. I got home to find that they neglected to load the table legs. When I returned, the owner smirked and said "oh, you're the guy that forgot to pick up his kitchen table legs". My bad for not checking what they were loading (because I guess that is now the purchasers' responsibility?)...my bad for assuming that they may apologize for the second trip that I had to make to the store.

Two bad experiences. I would not recommend this store.

Excellent Service

Purchased a couch and love seat in leather.
When it arrived and was unpacked, I notice an area of discolouration in the leather.
Sent pictures and it was replaced with no real hassle, very pleased with the service and the merchandise, I felt product was high quality and is wearing very well.
It has been a couple of years not.

Recent purchase

I recently ordered 3 pieces of furniture at Heritage. When it was delivered I felt it didn’t suit my space. I went back and spoke with Shawn, one of the owners. He was very pleasant and helpful. It was no problem returning 2 of the pieces and he helped me choose other pieces . I received the furniture 3 days later and LOVE it! The delivery fellows were friendly and professional. Thank you Heritage!!! Pat R

console

I really liked the console we bought. The delivery people were incredibly rude. Never had such rude people deliver a product before. The two guys just grunted "where do you want it put" and then left. The in store service left something to be desired as well, very unhelpful and disinterested in serving you. There are some good finds in the store but be forewarned their people skills are terrible.

Multiple purchases

Shopped a couple of times for specific items. A complete and total lack of genuine (not talking syrupy/fake like when they assume you have tons of money) service is palatable, as soon as you enter their store. The ignorant and indifferent attitude of the owners are a direct reflection from their sales employees. They don't offer anything unique, it's the same type of items to be found in other like venues, just really bad service and lots of stinky attitude.
My spouse will never again set foot in store and will pay extra monies if required to shop elswhere, w actual service.

Furnature purchase

Ordered some furnature. Emergency, had to return items. 20% + tax ($300!!) restocking fee, even though the items weren't picked up or delivered! What a policy! I won't be buying anything here again.

Furnature

Heritage in Burlington told us they have the furnature at hand in stock. After we paid and ordered, they changed their mind and promised delivery in 6 - 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, they still did not deliver. If you are buying from this merchant, make sure you have them write down and sign their verbal promises.

Chair for den

This wasn't my first purchase from Heritage, and I doubt it will be my last. They have really high-quality furniture here, and they stand by it. The showrooms are well laid-out and give you a good sense of how the furniture will look when you get it home. The chair that I purchased is the most comfortable piece in my house, and one of the best looking. The couch that I bought a few years ago there has stood the test of time - it is a gorgeous leather couch that didn't cost nearly as much as it looks like it did! I love this furniture store and consider it one of the best in Halton.

End Tables

We recently purchased two end tables from Heritage Fine Furniture for our new condo. The store had beautiful, high quality pieces that will last forever. The end tables we bought were a great deal on clearance.
