Gem Windows and Doors

I had an old a/c window unit that didn't work anymore so I needed to change the twenty year old window and remove the unit. I had a couple of companies come in to provide estimates, but I really liked the way the staff treated me in store and at my home. The work completed was professional as was the clean-up. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I was very happy with GEM. Their sales and installation people were all very professional and helpful. The sales rep came promptly. The installation guys were here at the agreed time. And, most importantly, my wife loves the new windows!

GEM personal are very professional and very caring. The service is prompt and efficient. The installers (Frank and Joe) show a great deal of pride in their workmanship. GEM Windwos and Doors made having new windows installed an easy and great experience. From start to finish they were friendly, professional and accommodating. When the windows were installed they ensured my home remained cleaned; they laid out rugs to protect the floor, swept after they were finished and took with them all the old windows and other materias. They did a fantastic job with my casing and my windows loook great!!

GEM's Kevin came promptly at 10.00 a.m. put down protective covers on our carpet, and by 12.30 our new doors were installed. They are solid, easily locked, and fit beautifully. He left everything neat as a pin. Great work!

After much research and consultations with several window and door companies, we decided to go with GEM windows and doors. The level of professionalism and confidence in the product started with my visit in the showroom with Seymour and continued right through till the last door was installed. They arrived when they said they would and the job took as long as they said it would (a day in a half ). I can't stop looking at my new front door. lol Thank you Seymour for allllll your help and really good suggestions when you saw that we were hesitant on certain details that needed to be finalized. Worked with Phil at Gem windows. Was a very easy process and prices were very competative. Install work finished ahead of schdule and the windows look great. Using Gem Windows again for our door installation work. Also, Gem had work with other contractors on site. Everything went very well.

A few mistakes initially with helping me decide on door choices and last min being told couldnt get door handles I had picked out. Was resolved at day of installation. Doors and windows look great. Very happy with installers. Very professional, punctual and friendly. Cleaned up mess and used carpet runners threwout my house. One WISH is that they could have re installed my wires for alarm system. Now I need to call another company to re connect. ( Had two front doors done 2 yrs ago from another company and they connected with no problems. ) Update : 2 yrs. later my door which I paid $3700 shattered into pieces. I tried contacting GEM re their warrantee 13 x's and 3 email Only to get the run around. didn't get customer service at all from this company. Apparently not a warrantee issue, unlike what the fancy book they give you says... Not to worry you are covered for up to 10yrs with all glass. Due to their poor customer service I have to give them a lower rating as I feel they did nothing to help me.. just avoid my calls until I emailed the BBB.
