This company is currently working on our street. There was a mis- understanding at the time of our contract negotiations, however, they came through and we were able to agree.
Driveway Paving
I am writing on behalf of my elderly father. This company was on the street digging up curbs. A representative of the company was going door to door giving quotes and signing contracts. The representative approached my dad and negotiated a contract and had him sign it. The caregiver that was at the house that day was not aware of the contract, however noticed the representative talking to my dad. She made the representative well aware that my dad had dementia and is not in a position to negotiate. The caregiver mentioned that any negotiations would have to go through myself. Not once did the representative reveal my dad signed a contract. It wasn't until I left work to come home and noticed my dad had a contract in his possession. I confronted the representative and had him tear up all 3 copies of the contract. I also informed the foreman and neither one would admit they did wrong. They insisted they didn't know and finally admitted the caregiver advised them.
If I had not come home this company had a signed contract to do work which I believe was overpriced.
Totally disgusted on how people take advantage of our seniors.
