Frendel Kitchens Ltd

Our Kitchen cabinets and bathrooms came from Frendel Kitchens as this is who our builder used. The quality of the cabinets is pretty good. Frendel Kitchens did a really good job at fixing deficiencies. They went above and beyond replacing cabinets which we did not even complain about but they were not satisfied with. Overall, we had a very good experience with this company.

Very pleased both with variety of styles and colours and styles.

It arrived on time and installed professionally.

They even came back a second day to complete a cut out for a slide in stove which had not been delivered by the first day.

I had to write a review after seeing the other reviews especially since my experience with Frendel was amazing. We moved into a resale home in Brampton last year and decided to use Frendel for the cabinets. This is my third Frendel Kitchen and I would absolutely use them a fourth time. After I worked with the salesperson to finalize my kitchen and laundry room I was given an expected delivery date and was told that as that date got closer they would call to advise me of a firm delivery date (I had to have the existing kitchen uninstalled).

The cabinets arrived fully wrapped in bubble wrap and the installation was completed by the following day. They cleaned up after themselves and were very accommodating throughout the entire process. I choose the Espresso cabinets for the kitchen (the colour is beautiful!), and the coconut colour for my Laundry (love it!).

Do not get cupboards from Frendel. We purchased our cupboards from our new home from Frendel because our builder used them.

Even the upgraded cupboards were of poor quality. Almost every single door and drawer on our kitchen cupboards are dented or scratched or the color is of poor quality. They so far have replaced one of the doors, and it came back again with a small dent.
As some others have mentioned, our builders that are building the new homes should not use this kitchen supply company.

Frendel is due to come back for the 6th time to attempt to fix a few problems with our cabinets. After originally installing part of it incorrectly, they've come back with "new" doors that are the wrong colour, a new cupboard that was missing the shelves, the wrong finishing strip, etc. Not only that, but they will not fix the original problem which was a shelf in the wrong style – they referred to Tarion which states that they are allowed to make substitutions of equal or greater value. Beware of Frendel – we are not happy, but there's nothing we can do about it.

It's true that misery loves company. I am relieved to discover that I am not the only one living through a nightmarish situation with Frendel Kitchens. Our condo builder must stop using this kitchen supplier on future projects or his reputation will surely suffer. The list of deficiencies in our kitchen is endless. In fact, deficiencies is the wrong word, total neglect is the correct expression. Take my advice, stay away from Frendel Kitchens and if your builder is using them for projects, find another builder.

After spending more than $40,000 on a kitchen I could not believe the poor quality of fit and finish Chips and scratches were everywhere.After repeated calls and ignored messages I had to get both my lawyer and the builder involved just to get someone out to see the problems.After that episode I was promised 2 new cupboard doors and 2 drawers within 1 week. Well after 1 month the same thing happened. Ignored messages and total disregard for service and totally arrogant towards me. This is after PREPAYING THEM 6 months prior. Never never ever do I want to even hear about this company other than they should close down.

My home just closed last week and I love everything about it (new home) BUT my kitchen cabinets! I was shocked that we paid $1000 approximately for our paint on our cabinets and they look like crap and chip very easily. It does not appear that it was baked on as we were told and looks cheaply spray painted. The customer service rep for our builder walked through with us and thought maybe it was just something that had scraped on the paint and tried to scratch it off lighly with her nail and ended up scratching off more paint!! I can't believe that the cabinet door they use in our builder's decor centre wasn't chipped at all considering how manhandled it is, and yet our cupboards you barely touch and the paint flakes off! If I could, I would rip out the cabinets, get a full refund and get my cabinets elsewhere, but since it's a new home, we had no choice but to go with them. My reccommendation to anyone considering using them in the future: DO NOT get the upgraded cabinets since they are crappy quality. Get the standard ones only.

We're trying to add extra cabinets to a kitchen we got through the builder. The experience has been a NIGHTMARE so far. Does anyone know where we can buy the stains Frendel uses so we can take our business elsewhere? We asked if we could buy it and we're told no "because they are chemicals".

Any help would be much appreciated!
