We were recommended by a friend who said they do great work...Jeff came out quickly for a quote and said he was confident that their prices would beat the competition and he did! They ordered and installed the windows very quickly and we are very happy with the result. I have already recommended them to my parents who need new windows and I would easily use this company again.
David and his crew managed to do our drywall in our basement, kitchen and great room ceiling. plus skimmed the vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom. It was done in a very timely manner and the price was extremely reasonable. My only issue was that the drywall dust was not cleaned up at the end of the job so it was everywhere. I guess I would be sure to put clean up in the paper work.

Worst builder I have ever experienced
I bought in 2006 and closed in January of 2007 an inventory home that was rated Energy Star. First of all, they didn't have the home finished despite sitting vacant since the previous summer and all they had to do was finish the interior flooring, paint, and kitchen. Sadly, I had NO kitchen when I moved in and had to wait 3 days for a cheesy island to be installed as a temporary kitchen. Then when the kitchen arrived, half of the cabinets had cracks in them and had to be replaced. On top of this, as they installed them my hardwood flooring was scratched badly in the kitchen. I found my house was extremely drafty on the second floor so I had them check it out and apparently there was NO insulation in the attic area, so they had to come in and fill it (so much for being an ENERGY star home!!). I thought by having an ENERGY STAR home I would receive better attention due to having paid extra for these special upgrades, but I was sadly mistaken. They didn't deal with my deficiencies until I contacted Tarion for my one year, then I had to do it again for the two year inspection as well. So there was $100 out of my pocket to make sure they did everything that they are supposed to do as a builder. Ridiculous!!! The icing on the cake is that I FINALLY got back the required deposit I had to give to these @ssholes upon signing and closing the agreement. Many residents on the street had to get together and contact a lawyer to get our deposits back, It was over 10 years that they had our money, can you imagine the interest they collected on it?!! Unfortunately, legally they can hold the funds for up to 7 years according to the Town of Whitby, but 10 years is outrageous!! Stay away from this builder, they are so horrid it is not even funny. Apparently they are affiliated with Kaitlin Homes, and I have friends who bought from them and were just as unimpressed. They must pay their trades garbage salaries because the trades how no pride in workmanship. Just get the job done is all they care about. You are better off getting a custom home.
I have used many moving companies previously but Manny is by far the best!!! He did an assessment first of our belongings and gave us a quotation of how long it may take plus the cost. He had a huge truck to move everything and it was all handled carefully. No bashed walls!! As long as all boxesare well l were labelled there was no margin for erroror time wasted. He does provide blankets but no warddrobe boxes or packing materials, but for how well he provides his service, who cares? I would use Manny again in a heartbeat!!
I was recommended to Jaret through a coworker of mine I worked with who said he was a painter and contractor and fairly reasonable priced. Well, we got quotes from other painters for our main floor (1000 sq. ft. approximately) and they wanted $1500 dollars or more, so we went with Jaret because pricewise, he was much lower. Jaret and his staff were extremely professional. They were very quick, punctual, they used the Dulux Paint that I now LOVE, and even when we noticed a few spots that seemed to need an additional coat, there were no arguments, they came right back and did touch ups, no questions asked. My main floor colours came out beautifully! I have had many complements about the paint over time and I only sing praises about his work. I am planning on using him again for my second floor since his crew was amazing with our main floor. If I ever move again, I would use his services again for sure!
I was recommended to try their paint from our painter that we hired to do the main floor of our home before we moved in 3 years ago. The service from any staff we have come across over this time has been outstanding. I love how they can colour match with Benjamin Moore, can help me select colours when I am unsure, and how quickly they mix the paint. They also have a Keurig machine for customers to help themselves to a variety of coffees while they wait for the paint to be mixed. They have a good selection of helpful painting products at very reasonable prices too. I like how they are conveniently located not far off highway and plenty of parking. I now ONLY buy my paint from there since they frequently have BOGO sales as well. I used to religiously use BM but I now am a loyal Dulux Customer. The product is awesome, it's thick, it goes on easy with a roller, dries quick, and no fumes!!! Love this paint, recommended it to friends and now they have gotten hooked. Thanks again to this location and all their help over the past 3 years. Keep it up!
My home just closed last week and I love everything about it (new home) BUT my kitchen cabinets! I was shocked that we paid $1000 approximately for our paint on our cabinets and they look like crap and chip very easily. It does not appear that it was baked on as we were told and looks cheaply spray painted. The customer service rep for our builder walked through with us and thought maybe it was just something that had scraped on the paint and tried to scratch it off lighly with her nail and ended up scratching off more paint!! I can't believe that the cabinet door they use in our builder's decor centre wasn't chipped at all considering how manhandled it is, and yet our cupboards you barely touch and the paint flakes off! If I could, I would rip out the cabinets, get a full refund and get my cabinets elsewhere, but since it's a new home, we had no choice but to go with them. My reccommendation to anyone considering using them in the future: DO NOT get the upgraded cabinets since they are crappy quality. Get the standard ones only.
