In May, Andrea came to my house. She missed the first appointment due to illness and then just showed up without confirming; I couldn't see her. She did rebook and came by. However, I have called and emailed Andrea several times to rectify a situation. So far, I have not had any calls or emails back. I originally needed her help with furniture positioning and paint colours for a large renovation that I was doing to my main floor. After she left, it occurred to me that she suggested paint colours that were virtually the same as I had now. That really disappointed me. As far as furniture positioning, she pulled my couch out about 1.5 feel from where it was. We talked about stools for my island and looked through some books and then she wrote down a bunch of supplier names to which I didn't ask for them. She also promised to send me a receipt and todate I have had nothing back from her. She has virtually disappeared. I am still hoping that she calls me back and I am really puzzled about why she would leave a customer hanging like this. Maybe there is a good reason for this and if so, I am happy to explain how she has rectified this situation.
FIRST UPDATE: Since writing the review and leaving several more messages and sending emails, Andrea did reach me. She has not received the emails and as for the messages it's also a mystery. She will come back and revisit the colour choices very soon. She is not charging me anything further and seems genuinely concerned and puzzled. I am happy that she will be back to help me sort this out.
SECOND UPDATE: Andrea came to my home, but the result was almost the same colour as I had. She graciously came back and helped me come up with some new colours. It took me a while to reach her unfortunately, so I was very unhappy for a while, but finally she reached me and we resolved things.

Hi Sharon. Thank you for your review. We certainly had our challenges from the get go with technical difficulties communicating through Homestars which were investigated by their support team.
Our first scheduled appointment was rescheduled for two days later due to illness. I did not confirm after the appointment was made, but showed up on time to find that you were not available. We set another appointment in which we discussed backslash selection, furniture layout, colour selection, and window treatments. As you were keeping your large sectional, had a fireplace as a focal point and removed a wall, we were very limited in where it could go. It was also a driver in the colour selection. At the time you had not selected a new tile for the foyer which also plays a part as the one wall begins in the foyer through the kitchen and family room to the back of the house. We did look at several options and you were most comfortable with the ones we chose. It can be difficult seeing the different nuances in colour when it is in a small scale.
You did try to contact me on the Friday of Labour Day to express concerns and I returned your call the first working day after that (Tuesday). You requested that I come out again which I did at no further cost to you. I realize that you were frustrated that your contractor was months over your finish date and most renovations are quite stressful. After our last visit you were much more at ease and I appreciate your attempts at writing another review. Again we had technical difficulties with Homestars as neither one of us were aware that subsequent reviews are not accepted, you can only alter your original review. I have passed on to Homestars that you found the site not user friendly and they are always looking to improve their customer experience.
My goal is for my clients to be confident in the plan we have put together and for them to have everything they require to move forward in their project.
I am glad that I was able to restore your confidence and hope that the rest of your reno went smoothly.
All the best, Andrea
