Engel Moving and Storage is an actual horror story. Dr. Jekyll (Robert Engel) arrived for an estimate as a personable, accommodating and pleasant individual. The nightmare began on actual moving day when Mr. Hyde (Robert Engel) showed up over an hour late. As stressful as moving day is, a simple phone call to say he was tied up in traffic would have put us anxiously waiting at ease. This was only the start of his abuses. After assurances, once from his pre-inspection visit to our home when he walked around the house and was shown what had to be packed and moved, and then again after a confirming phone call, his demeanour did a 180 degree turnaround. He berated us as customers but also his very nice co-workers who were trying their very best. Everything that was previously discussed was denied, and his cocky attitude worsened. In the end his estimated moving time doubled with the cost. Who wants to get into an argument after 20 hours of putting up with this abuse. The customer is always wrong and at fault, sign the paper releasing him of any claims and then find out the next day how much scratched, damaged missing furniture and wall damage you really have. Silly us for not reading on line reviews and being hood-winked. Our recommendation of this mover-STAY AWAY.
