An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
I had an electrician lined up to do some work at my house while my kitchen was being renovated. I needed him to be there on a specific day to wire up a new stove exhaust fan before the counter top and back splash were installed (I also had a number of other things I needed him to do as well). Despite having worked with him before, I just didn't feel comfortable that he was fully committed to the job/timing, so I decided rather last minute to look for a safer alternative on HomeStars.
