We heard of Derek from a neighbour who was extremely happy with a large tree removed from his front lawn.
I found Derek to be straight up and to the point, no messing around - Very Professional.
The guys working with him were efficient, respectful and extremely hard working.
They came on time and did the job cleanly, safely and very quickly.

They came on time as promised and had the right equipment and the right people. They cleaned up after and even removed the stump and all the wood. they were careful not to damage any property close by.

I met Derek through his sponsorship of our son's hockey team. I gave him a try on a small tree removal project and he came through perfectly. We moved to Oakville and the new house had a tree that was against the foundation, growing on a 45 degree angle and was also leaning on our fence. It had to go and I knew the guy to call. Derek and his team came to the house promply on the date/time we agreed. They went to work immediately and professionally removed the tree and debris. I can wholeheartedly recommend Derek and will be having him back for some winter cleanup.

Derek's Tree Service removed a 100' American Elm tree which hung over my house. It was fascinating to listen to these experts discuss which limbs to saw next, and then see them cut and lower them exactly as planned. Each limb had to fit between my patio roof and the backyard fence. Totally professional and expert. Definitely recommend them.

Derek (and team) removed 5 stumps and trimmed 3 tree's on our property.
They came on the day/time scheduled, all debris was removed and they were on budget. The crew was friendly and efficient.

We moved in just 2 months ago and at the time of purchase in March it was hard to tell how bad it would be. We had two cherry trees in the front that would drop little cherry bombs all July when ripe. We had a large apple and plum tree in the back as well as a Juniper and a Locust. I would not know the names if it wasn't for Derek, he knows his trees! We also have a Pussy Willow and a Japanese Maple which he suggested it wasn't necessary to do anything which I wasn't planning on anyways. He made a good suggestion of removing the Juniper and trimming the Locust a little. For sure the fruit trees had to go because they were causing a mess and it would create a lot of flies when the fruits were ripe and dropped. Derek gave an excellent quote along with some extras, like removing stumps previously left by the other owner and a fern removal. He was able to schedule me in quickly even though I wasn't in a rush. Him and his crew came on time on the scheduled day and they were friendly. They were very neat, quick and thorough with the work and all debris was removed. There was very little work to do afterwards coming from a very picky homeowner like myself. We are extremely satisfied with Derek's Tree Service and would recommend them to everyone! This was the best money we've spent on the home so far and we have done quite a few renovations.

Derek and his crew were hired to remove 2 dead 40ft+ red pines and undertake stump grinding after having received several estimates from others. Derek was helpful and courteous on the phone; he arrived for the estimate at the promised time and scheduled the follow up service call immediately. His crew of 4 was friendly and professional, arrived with professional tools and equipment and went to work quickly. The job was completed within 2 1/2 hours including removal of all tree debris. Clean-up was quite efficient and we are delighted with the service received. Derek and his company are straight-forward, arrive on time/schedule and perform the job very well. Pricing was comparable to others but in my books prompt, efficient service and reliability is the key to success.Congratulations Derek.

Derek was the 3rd company I called for an estimate to trim a very large tree. I called him on a Saturday night and he was out 1st thing the next morning. His estimate was reasonable so I decided to hire him. He was available the day and time I requested. He and his crew showed up on time and proceeded with the job. The job was done very quickly and cleanup was done very well. It was a pleasure doing business with Derek's Tree Service. I will use him again and will not hesitate to recommend him to other.
