An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
In the spring of 2011, we hired Delco Renovations to replace a deck we had at the back of our house and a smaller deck off the main bedroom, and also to install a deck on the ground at the back of the house.
During the gathering of quotes, I met with Mike Olma who I found to be fair, honest and straight-forward.
Mike gave us an excellent suggestion of actually shortening the length of the deck so that it would no longer block the view from the large windows in our living room, and actually would have saved us some money.
The work was done quickly and at a fair price. We were at work or school during most of the construction but our neighbour, a retired engineer, reported to us that the work was done to a high quality.
The project was done to our satisfaction and we have enjoyed the deck since.
I have recommended Mike and Delco Renovations to others and will continue to do so.
