I shopped at Decorium for the first time in August 2011. It will be my last time. I should have checked homestars first. The reviews you see on here about poor customer service and terrible delivery times are 100% true.
We took advantage of their 25% off sale in August, to buy a new leather sectional and sofa. We received the sectional in mid-September (which is reasonable), but the loveseat took until mid-November!! That is not acceptable.
Every time we called the office to get a hold of the lady who coordinates deliveries, we would never get through. I don't believe she ever picks up her phone. (Kind of like one of those people at work who watch their call display, and let the voice mail get it every time). Oh, and don't try getting a hold of a Manager, the Receptionist ensures that you never get through to one.
The odd time we did get through to someone (usually the sales rep), we were always told poor excuses with broad, open ended timelines for delivery. It changed from September, to early October, to late October to November.
When the sofa finally did arrive in November, they told us we were in the early morning time slot (9 to 12) for delivery. We waited around all morning, and the delivery never came. When we contacted the office, they told us we were now in the afternoon slot (12 to 4). The furniture never arrived in that window either. It ended up coming at 5:30 on the delivery date. My wife and I wasted a whole Saturday at home, because of Decorium's terrible delivery service. I can't even imagine why they charge for it. They should pay you.
After all those months waiting for furniture and the shotty delivery service, they never even called to say sorry or inquire about the satisfaction with the product.
Decorium are really just a big advertising, glizty commercial operation. The support staff, sales people and managers are terrible.
Thinking back, even the in store experience was awful. The sales people dance around looking for commissions, and as soon as one rep. starts dealing with you, the others start watching you to see if they can sweep in. Then when one sees you are free, that rep. trys to grab you. We actually had two reps. fighting over us for a sale. This isn't a very professional way of presenting your staff. However, it was a hint of what the staff at Decorium is all about......themselves.
I can't recommend Decorium to anyone. This purchase was my first and last. If you want bigger box furniture stores, go to Leons.
