Townhouse install in Scarborough.
Talked to a lot of different companies about install, and called Boris because of excellent reviews on HomeStars. Not disappointed, he was the most professional, respectful and informative salesperson of the group. Sold me on the Goodman furnace and A/C, really loved the 10 yr parts AND labour warranty, no strings attached. He followed up after I confirmed to make sure we wanted what we asked for and not something more basic (i.e. didn't try to upsell at all, clearly explained how long it would take to pay off higher model). Boris even answered my follow-up calls late at night.
The installers Kam and co. were thorough, knowledgeable, clean, meticulous. Explained upkeep and maintenance carefully and walked me through warranty and rebate process. Ensured that items in my quote that were not needed in the job were removed before I paid.
The only possible negative I could share is that the installers kept both front and back doors open the entire time, even if they were not going in and out, and in December this froze the house and the whole family ended up with a cold.
But aside from that, great work and I feel like I got the best product for my space done by an excellent team. Would definitely trust them for my needs in the future.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $5,600.00
- What could this company do to improve their services?
- Consider whether it's necessary to have all doors open during install, as really affects customer comfort.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Make sure to compare not just units, but also warranty. From the 6 I looked at, only Goodman had 10 yr parts AND labour warranty with no maintenance contract requirement, which would equate to maybe $1000 saved over 10 years.
- Company Response
Nicholas, thank you very much for your business and fair review. It was a pleasure to deal with you. I hope your family is feeling well.*** The guys were going through the doors every few minutes. Soiled hands, soiled gloves, soiled boots, bulky stuff with sharp edges. If the crew had to open and close the doors every time, by the end of the job the doors and walls around the doors would be full of spots and scratches. If it were their own home, the guys would definitely keep the doors wide open. *** Usually during installation families try to stay upstairs. This is the first time that we got complain on open doors. I will discuss with the crew what can be done to keep the doors open less time.
