Basement renovations.

Staff was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I was happy to see a lot of knowledgeable women working there too. Prices are comparable and the service is beyond exceptional. No walking around a big box store looking for assistance. I love the family store vibe and the ease of shopping around without getting lost. Will definitely return! Had no idea this little gem has been around since the late 60's...

Marine Plywood

On July 11/09 I attended at Cooksville Lumber, and bought 12 Sheets of Marine Plywood and water sealant to replace the 12 Sheets of Marine Plywood for my above ground swimming pool, which had been in use for 19 years without any significant signs of mold or wood rot.
After 2 years one of these sheets bowed out, I braced it in. After another 2 years 2 more boards bowed out.
After removing the liner from the boards , I discovered the reason for the boards bowing out..wood rot and mold. All the boards showed significant signs of wood rot and mold . I attended at Cooksville lumber on discovering these defects and asked for a representative of Cooksville Lumber to attend and investigate this premature wood rot. Mr. Carlos Rocha of Cooksville refused to attend stating it was the manufactuer problem not Cooksville. He offered abosulutely no help whatsoever. Cooksville Lumber then stated that I had used the wood outdoors in the elements, it never should have been used outdoors! (I couldn't believe what I was hearing and these people sell wood products!)
Cooksville Lumberwere unable to provide the name of their supplier for 13 months after receiving my complaint and after I launched a civil court action in Small Claims Court!
The Manufactuer hat they supplied to me was a company that went out of business in 2011. The invoice supplied by a representative of this defunct company could not be verified by a simple test.
The case is presently before Small Claims Court.

Building Supplies

Carm, Pina and all of the staff at Cooksville Lumber are always so helpful and friendly and professional. It is a pleasure to deal with a local family business. Prices here are excellent! Don't assume that the big box stores will have more stock and/or lower prices... Check here first!

french doors

Not your ordinary box store but far more friendly and helpful. Had great selections on what I was looking for and more. The french doors were a custom order and arrived on time due to the employee at Cooksville staying on top of things.

Kitchen Renovation

Purchased a condo with a 1980's kitchen that needed a reno. Checked out a few companies in Mississauga including having Home Depot prepare a quote at a cost of $50.00. I was going to consider Home Depot when they advised that start to finish date would take approximately 4 months. At least two months for cabinets and 1 month for the counter. I was able to get the SAME kitchen and counter from Cooksville Lumber ordered and installed within two weeks! Also, the cost was approximately 30% cheaper than Home Depot. I have now had the kitchen for about a year and enjoy it. Great job by Cooksville Lumber and there contractor Reno-Tek.
