Classic Maids

I have been using Classic Maids for 2 years. I have a 4 bedroom house in North York and have my home serviced weekly. The maids that have come to my home have always been professional and get the job done right. I understand that there can be personnel changes within the company as with any organization, however on the rare occasion that this has happened I have always been advised and the outcome was positive. I have found their associates to be flexible to the needs of my family and plan to continue to use them over and over again.

We needed to clean our house from top to bottom in order to be able to show for sale. We hire Classic Maids and got their "best" maid to come out on Saturday. It was difficult enough to get her to stop talking and actually do some work. We were provided with a list of the jobs she was to perform. If she complete 10% of them, I would be surprised. She basically walked around with a swiffer and didn't even bother polishing the furniture after. She dragged a full bag from the vacuum across the floor, leaving us to vacuum later. We actually paid for extras which were overlooked.

When we contacted Classic Maids to say that we had to do the work ourselves and we were displeased with the service, they pretty much called us fibbers and that it was a "he said/she said" issue. I emailed formal complaint to their Customer Service department asking them to explain their "guarantee" that is posted on their web site and yet have to hear back from them.

Classic Maids doesn't just get a non-refferal from me, they get filed complaints of the poor Services offered and poor treatment of their PAYING customers.

Boo on you Classic Maids.

We have used Classic Maids for almost 2 years on a bi-weekly basis. The service has been hit and miss...more often misses than hits but we have had a couple of reasonable cleaners along the way. We have gone through about 8 cleaning personnel in the time we have used their services because they have each had situations arise suddenly (personal emergencies, leaving the country, medical conditions, etc.) and Classic Maids typically advised us about 2 hours after the house cleaning was supposed to occur that something had come up with the cleaner and therefore our house was not being cleaned. We are very tidy people and most friends can't understand what a cleaning lady would find to do for 4 hours in our house, but that is what we had to pay for. We have lived with the changes imposed changes in cleaners, schedule, etc. because it was just easier than finding another service. Most recently, however, we have come home on several occassions to find wads of paper towel sitting in the toilets as well as sinks that looked like they were washed with a dirty cloth and tables that have such bad streaks that I can't fix them. We had a holiday cleaning scheduled just before the holidays for family visits and again the cleaner did not show up even though I had stayed home waiting for her. I had to call Classic Maids twice and ask them to call me back about why she still wasn't there...and they still never called me on the number I gave but instead called my husband at work to again advise of a personal emergency for the cleaner. We ended up cancelling the service and cleaned the house ourselves. In the meantime, we discovered that most of our cleaning product bottles were empty (the cleaner leaves a sheet every visit to indicate what needs replenishing and nothing was ever marked off)...makes me wonder what exactly she was using to clean our house...or was she cleaning it at all??? We have friends that also tried Classic Maids and had similar issues and also cancelled their service. I would never recommend Classic Maids to anyone.
