1- Basement flooding on the Saturday of the Labor Day long weekend. We woke up with water throughout our finished basement. Brothers plumbing came within an hour of our call and “snaked” our drain to clear the blockage.
2- These obstructions have been a recurring issue, even after we waterproofed the house. Omid from Brothers plumbing was of great help. He was able to correctly identify that the issue was a flawed basement renovation done by the previous owner. Using his tools, he was able to point and show us accurately the problematic area under our basement floor and proposed a plan to correct the problem permanently. We agreed to have the major repair done which involved breaking the concrete, replacing a section of the main drain under the house and put new concrete. The project was completed in three days.
3- We also used the opportunity to install a backwater valve. Brothers obtained the permit, ensure inspection by the city and provided us with the paperwork for the rebate program.
The basement has been dry since. Overall, we would definitely recommend the work of Brothers plumbing and we would like to thank Omid for his excellent work.

On August 31, 2019, I had Brothers Plumbing come to fix a dishwasher valve under my sink. The old one couldn’t be turned off completely. Omid recommended I replace all 3 pipes and valves due to rust and seizure of the valves. He said I should also get a new faucet. Work was done and he said I would receive my invoice marked paid by email.
When I received it that evening, I was struck speechless by the cost of the faucet...$540.00...GOOD SINGLE HANDLE 3 HOLE WITH SPRAY Belanger #4068 CP - Special Order. However, the box it came in strapped closed before Omid cut the straps, is a Belanger QUIK 77AC, which sells for $158 CDN.
Having called twice, no one has bothered to call me back.
I’m disappointed and want to understand why the extra $400. I’m a senior and living on a pension so I’m hoping for a refund between the cost of the two faucets.

I have had a terrible experience with Brothers Plumbing. I was charged for two service calls for a total of $594.95 to have a pop up stopper replaced in bathroom sink.
I contacted the company on June 4, 2019 via email to explain what my issue was, that I my stopper had fallen down the drain and need to be retrieved. I also thought the pivot rod would have to be replaced.
Their service technician, Brother's service technician came to my house and cleared the drain stopper but didn’t have the required parts to reinstall it. Further, my drain was leaking because the pivot ball and retaining nut were worn. The service technician said there was nothing he could do for me as he didn’t have the required parts in his truck. So he left my house while my sink was still leaking.
I phoned Brothers and spoke to their customer service representative and told him that I just paid $361.60 to have my stopper retrieved but it wasn’t in working order and further, I couldn’t use my sink because it was leaking.
On July 3rd, another service technician came to my house to install the stopper. Instead of installing the original stopper, he installed a new push button pop-up stopper for an additional $233.35. In total I was charged $594.95 to install a push button pop up stopper that I didn’t want nor did it match the finish of my faucet.
I phoned the company multiple times to speak to an owner or manager to seek a partial credit. I even went to visit the shop to complain about the poor service and return the mismatched stopper, but no avail. No one returned my calls or emails. Their attitude seemed to be that they could care less if their customer was satisfied or not. Truly deplorable customer service. I would never call this company again for any service or could I ever consider recommending them.

Saturday afternoon I couldn't shut off my shower unit - so unstoppable water running into the shower drain. I called several plumbers with so called "emergency" services - none of them could respond until Monday - until I called Brothers Plumbing. I spoke with Robert - he knew right away what needed to be done. He had no one available - but he had Patrick busy on a project nearby. He told me he would pull Patrick temporarily from his current assignment. 30 minutes later Patrick and his apprentice (Vincent) arrived. This team fixed it ten minutes (cartridge replacement, etc). He also explained why the erosion of my faucet. Great job - you saved me!

I spoke several times to the person who called me and described the job. He confided his 30 years of experience and knowledge. When I asked about the price he said that it would be about 350,and “not a thousand dollars or anything”. Well Guess what the first bill handed to me was? About 980.00 and I had already purchased a part.
The person doing the installation reduced it to 745 after I told him of the conversation. He obviously had received no communication from the person I had spoken to. This is no surprise as they had mis-communicated and missed their time to come and do the work twice before showing the third time.
My fault for not getting a written quotation first and going on the info shared in the conversation. And my fault for actually paying. I was frustrated with about a 100 other urgent things and not thinking. I was not even given an itemized receipt.
The final valve part was mentioned and not tabulated , just that there is a book. Had I thought, 350 meant 350 plus about 600 dollars then I would have worked with someone else or purchased parts myself.
I paid, but was not happy. The final cost was still over double what I was expecting to pay. I am yet to speak with the dispatcher, as I have been tending to many things. I look back at the reviews and see similar complaints that were addressed with, “well, that is what we charge” and the same “price list book” and see that my experience was not an exception but rather a practiced process and don't expect much to come from that. I used Homestars to save time and avoid this kind of garbage. My bad, I guess.

I had some minor plumbing repairs at my home to do, so I called brothers plumbing. They arrived when they said they would, they did the repairs and left the work area clean. The charge was a very reasonable price. Thank you to the plumbers of Brothers Plumbing for the great service, and also to the office. They were very friendly and kind when I spoke with them. Thanks again, I definitely recommend their services.

We had an emergency, as always - on Sunday!
Patrick showed up in no time.
He replaced the shut off valve and installed the ballcock in i my toilet.
To complete the job took him about 40 minutes.
Then the bill was $475 + tax!!! (the ballcock was mine - he supplied the valve)
My fault was I haven't asked for the estimate. For sure next time I will!
Workmanship was fine; he came (on Sunday afternoon) really quick - no complaints for this part.

I had a block in the drainage and my house was about to be flooded. I called brother's plumbing, and they were so prompt in their response. I am so grateful to David and his team for immediately solving the issue. Not only that they also helped drain out the excess water from the basement. I would recommend Brother's Plumbing to my family and friends.

Last month, my toilet was clogged and there was a bit of backflow. We tried to fix ourselves, which made it worse. Never believe in those DIY videos.
I called Brothers plumbing and they had someone at my door within an hour. They were very polite, clean and professional and had our toilet fixed. They get the job done quickly and are clean about it.

When we had new washing machine installed we found that the hot water connection was leaking (more like spraying). I called Brothers, which is the only plumbing company we have used in the 28 years we've been in this house.
We made an appointment and Tony came as promised the next day. He was polite, professional, and proficient. On consultation he replaced the hot and cold water connectors They now work like a dream.
