Hardwood floor

Do not use this company for your floors. After a month the floor started to discolour. I have tried numerous times since April 2018 to have this dealt with. I have made a complaint to BBB and will be going public with this. Next will be taking them to court. The owner says he will get back to u and weeks/months I’ll go by and nothing. No customer service. Will be adding pics of our floors
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ALWAYS CHECK REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING SOMETHING FROM A BUSINESS

Warranty is a sham, manager ignores customers

The warranty on their website is just for show. My floor is really nice except for two pieces that have flaking and peeling that occurred within the first month after installation. The business manager, Joe Reis, called me back once, asked me to send him the order number and he would make the pieces available for pick up. That was a month ago and repeated follow up has been ignored. Don't expect your floor to have any manufacturer warranty as Brampton Hardwood handles the warranty and does not follow through. It's really too bad that the customer service is absolutely non-existent because I was happy until I had a problem which would be so easily fixed.

Saw Cut Damage to dining room table and poor installation quality

We bought some really nice antique cherry beach flooring. The quality of the product was satisfactory. The installation however was not. We were told that we had to pay for the installation up front which we did on the assurance that their installers were professional and would do an excellent job. Not true. The installer had his brother help him out and after the work was done and the installer had left we noticed a number of boards where the ends were damaged and rough probably caused during the cutting of the board on a saw. Several boards were marred from something being dragged across them. There was a noticeable gap between two of the boards where they had not been butted together properly.

The worst thing is that the installer used our dining room table, which was stored in the garage, as a cutting surface and damaged the edge of the table with a circular saw. This is an antique and will cost close to $800 to repair properly.

We registered the complaint with Brampton Hardwood back in April right after the damage was discovered and had no response. Eventually a rep came out and saw the damage, leaving with a indication to us that we could expect a favorable resolution. Several followups produced no response.

A complaint has been registered with the Better Business Bureau but so far Brampton Hardwood has refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the issues.

My recommendation to buyers is to require that the product being bought is inspected and acceptable before paying in full and if using their installers (which I would not recommend), insist on holding back 50% of the cost until final inspection and acceptance of the work.

You can not trust them to back up their product or resolve complaints, They are more interested in rushing through the sale then providing high quality customer service.

Worst hardwood flooring store

This Brampton Hardwood Flooring is the worst store in Ontario, or maybe the worst in Canada. Can you image anything worse than when you hire them to install the hardwood floor, during the middle of the construction, the contractor run away and leaves the work unfinished?

STAY AWAY from this store. I can’t believe how come such a store can exist.

I purchased hardwood flooring in this store and paid them to send their contractor to install. In the beginning, the old lady in the service desk was so rude and made an unreasonable request that we have to pay both materials and labor in full. We refused that request and luckily we did that by saying we can hire somebody else to do the installation then we only need to pay the materials. They compromised in the end so we agreed that we pay the materials in full and half of the labor up front, then pay the rest of balance after job finished.

The contractor came to do the work on the scheduled date. During the installation, the contractor noticed the new hardwood floor height is too much different than the ceramic flooring in the bathroom. They can’t flat the joint, which we paid that work already. Instead, they suggested us to use T molding cause it will solve the problem and won’t need the extra work. They wanted me to go to the store and buy the T molding and probably can claim some credit that I paid before.

I took their advice and went to the store to negotiate. I said, I need to buy the T molding and you need to credit me the amount that doesn’t needed anymore. Then guess what? The old lady in the service desk said no, you can’t claim the credit and need to pay double for the extra work with a reckless and rude attitude. This is ridicules request, and I said. I’m not goanna pay for that T molding. Cause I don’t have to buy it in your store, instead I can buy from home depot. The lady suddenly became furious and called the contractor to back out, leave the house unless I paid them full amount right away. She also threatens me that they will call the lawyer and put a lien on my property because I don’t pay them. WTF?

In the end the contractor left. I was trying to stop them by saying you need to get job done and I will pay you full amount. They said sorry man, I was told to leave and I don’t have choice. WTF?

What else can I say? Thanks to god that I didn’t pay them full amount in the beginning otherwise they will take the money and run.

If you don’t want this thing happened to you, STAY AWAY from this store.

Dishonest People/Horrific Customer Service

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & DISHONEST TO THEIR CORE

This is a zero star rating. I purchased flooring in May 2016. Horrific customer service then. We wanted to finish remaining floor in house and reluctantly went back to get the same wood (Feb 2019). And not because we wanted to deal w them again - because we wanted the same hardwood for a seamless look in house. They knowingly sold us hardwood knowing the finish had changed. Even though it was same item numbers on both invoices. We picked up and my husband saw it looked different. Called store and spoke with Vandana (who happens to be extremely rude and unprofessional). She indicated it was the lighting and that it was all the same. He brought it home and it was very clearly entirely different. Original wood was a matte finish and the new finish was high gloss. They refused to return it, had every excuse in the book, accountant was in, needed to talk to Joe (operations manager). this went on for 4 weeks. They indicated they would only refund $ if we let them try and colour match the old wood. I made 3 trips to warehouse. Finally Joe met us in person. He assured us he would make it right. They were given a box of the original hardwood. We agreed upon the colour. Now fast forward to my contractor installing the hardwood. (Joe also knew we were going to mix in the leftover 100 sq ft of original hardwood to make it flow) and we find that the new wood is 1/4" wider than original wood. Joe now claims that he never agreed to match the size, only the colour. WHICH IS CRAZY - they had a whole box of original wood and knew it would be getting mixed in with new stuff. I've requested a refund of my $ as they assured they would refund it if they couldn't produce same product. I'm sure this will go nowhere but I am willing to take legal action and have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau which I encourage everyone else to do also who has had an issue. It is shameful that businesses can behave this way. If they had been honest in beginning and said the hardwood had changed I would have gone elsewhere from the beginning. I'm now out $4K and have hardwood in two different widths in my kitchen. These people are disgusting.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE

Visited the store, selected engineered flooring that was right for my needs and purchased the flooring in full. After 2 weeks of calling and listening to excuses why they did not have it ready, was told floor was more expense now. Brampton Hardwood told me to pay another $800 if I wanted the floor that I had already paid for! I refused of course. They acknowledged their error but did not have the honour to accept responsibility to deliver on what was purchased. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE> STAY AWAY. NO CUSTOMER CARE, RESPECT, CONCERN OR HONOR.

Hardwood flooring.....

Bought oak hardwood from Brampton hardwood flooring, I truly regret ever purchasing product from this company. Saying the hardwood is of the lowest quality is an understatement. The customer service is okay when you are there to buy, but when you have a problem which you will have if you buy products from this company, don't expect to be treated like a customer. This company is very dishonest and the employees only concern is a sale.

Low Quality Hardwood

We ordered a whole floor of the same flooring, over 1,000 sq ft, left to acclimatize in the house for a month, and then went to install it. I used my own professional installers and when they opened the packages, they found poor quality milling, and way too many pieces that had variable widths so the pieces have gaps on installation. The company denied all responsibility and said it was moisture related. Nothing to do with them. My installers have been doing this for years and never seen anything so bad. It took them twice as long to install as they had to hand pick and match each individual piece and hide inferior quality in closets and under kitchen cabinets etc. But there are just too many bad pieces that taper as much as 1/8 " . I never expected that the actual wood milling could be done so poorly. We are very disappointed
