Over 25 years ago, Terry built our family home where we hoped to raise our 3 boys...and this past summer, he built our Retirement home that is easy to live in with grandkids, energy efficient, and meticulously crafted. He insisted on 9ft ceiling in the basement, and it made all the difference to "not feel like a basement". He kept strict budget guidelines and since we built in peak of summer, his timeline was also strictly managed in order to be cost efficient with other trades lined up. The designing elevations of this difficult building lot were a challenge he managed with professionalism and accuracy. We trusted him to build our final home and are so grateful for his skill and abilities to manage any size project with absolute attention to detail. This was what we counted on, and he delivered on time; on budget; and after living here for a year; on point. We would recommend this small company to all.

It was important to us to be involved in all aspects of the custom build of our new lake home. Terry encouraged this too. He wants it to be a collaborative effort for sure. Terry not only enabled us to have home we wanted, but he also made us feel as if we were part of the team.

We chose Terry at Bessette Design Build because we thought he understood our needs. A number of mistakes in the construction were made and never corrected. Now we have a support beam in our great room that is off center and a post in front of our stairs that should be off in the corner. When installing bathroom cabinets a hole was drilled in the wrong spot and we had to pay for a new drawer front. It has been almost 3 years and work is still incomplete. We took possession in August 2013 and still are waiting for unfinished trim to be painted or installed, we are missing window screens, and various small touch-ups that were promised but never done. I guess we should have held back funds rather than pay him in full when he requested final payment.
