Our annual check of air conditioner is part of our package with Atlas Care. Daniel was on time, polite and efficient. He change the air filter, as usual. He let us know that our unit is not functioning efficiently. It is old. Not a big surprise. Recommended continuing to use but to get a quote on a new unit, in case. Explained that the coolant used by this old-ish Carrier is no longer being manufactured so finding the leak and repairing is likely not a good option.
Update- we had a new Lennox air conditioner installed by AtlasCare. Jose and Christian did a good job. Installation took ~4 hours.

The HVAC industry is seeing more homeowners choosing to replace their older air conditioners sooner than they may have in years past due to the coolant no longer being manufactured.
