I hire Ascot Home Improvements again to come to Midland to redo my boathouse. I had them up to do a roofing job and I was very impressed with their workmanship I wanted them to come back and completely re-do all the siding on my boathouse. The quality of workmanship is excellent. Larry Vallentyne and his crews go the extra mile to make sure that everything is done right I asked for a few extra things to be done and they were more then happy to accommodate my requests. Larry V and his team came highly recommended by a friend. I waited for three heavy rain storms before writing this review. Larry's team made it easier for me by coordinating with an arborist who was part of the project. They were efficient, arrived on time, cleaned up at the end of each day and did a great job. They will now be doing the work to repair the basement floor damaged by the water that was leaking into our basement. I would highly recommend them to a friend. I really like using local companies.

Started with great anticipation that I was hiring a professional and reliable company. In my last home I used student painters to do interior and exterior. They did a far superior job than the professional painter Ascot hired, and had less attitude.
I am now redoing all work because I have no choice. I did not get what I was initially promised.

Larry Vallentyne and his crews from Ascot Home Improvements are the best around. I just had to have my roof on my boathouse completely torn off and replaced. The workmanship of the trades is beyond fantastic. They completed my roof in under a week and every night when they left the area was left prestine. They are a wonderful group of men to work with kind, friendly and do an amazing job. I will be hiring them to come back and do the siding that needs to be done. As relatively new homeowners, we were very fortunate to find John and his team at Ascot. They have completed every project for us over the past 8 years. We have always been impressed with the work ethic, the work quality, the politeness of everyone we've encountered. We wouldn't think of calling anyone else!

Working with a very particular and quality minded designer ( Aykroyd Design) required an equally particular contractor with quality service and attention to detail. Ascot gets full marks in all categories. Our designer was delighted and they were a delight to work with - always punctual , pleasant and ready with input and ideas that enhanced the finished result. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others and use them again ourselves.

John and his crew created a hatch so we could get into/underneath our ancient mudroom. There was a ton of debris to be removed, but the site was pin-neat throughout and after the job. They needed to dig deeper than forecast and to install a window well for the hatch, and brought in a specialist to custom-make a grate/cover for it. When it became apparent that we had to fix a plumbing problem, John brought in an excellent plumber. He also recommended an insulation company to insulate under the mud room, and we were pleased with them, too.
They came when they said they would come, did what they said they would do, dealt with the curve-balls effectively. Very professional, we will hire Ascot again.

Larry V had previously done roofing, entrance walkway installation, a new wall Installation, and a window installation on previous contracts. All of these experiences were positive, looked great upon completion, and continue to make as happy.

For these reasons, when it came time to renovate our bathroom, Larry was our first choice when it came to looking for a trustworthy contractor. Larry's people, Rob and Ozzie, were both very pleasant and courteous during the work period. Rob brought a genuine concern and care to his work, and wanted to ensure the job was one which was done to high standards, and one which would bring us pleasure for years to come. We are very pleased with the final results and recommend Ascot for any of your home improvement plans.

Larry V and his company were recommended to me by mutual friends as a class act, honest, thorough and excellent workmanship. I took a chance and hired Ascot to do some insurance work in our condo complex and found Larry and his crew to be professional, courteous, and the work faultless. It was completed with minimum interruption to our tenants and the clean up exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them any time for work, big or small. We will be doing major renovations in the spring and Ascot will be our contractor of choice!!!!

Ascot Construction is a contracting company that my husband and I trust. We came to be familiar with their work when we bought our first home which was renovated by Ascot. When we moved into this home the work was guaranteed, Ascot stood by this when we discovered a small leak - it was fixed quickly at no charge.
The house we purchased had two rooms, so we asked that a third room be built on the flat roof, this was done well and family who came to the home couldn't believe it was an addition as it fit in so nicely.

Our most recent experience with Ascot was when we bought a major fixer upper where the original part of the home were the staircase and the bricks. This gut renovation was a major overwhelming experience. However, Ascot's foreman, was conscientious and made the task manageable. He took the time to review small details with us, ensuring and waiting that I was happy with the smallest of details like door handles, to major structural designs such as the location of the ground floor bathroom. Thanks to him this bathroom is nicely situated off of a back room rather than the initial proposed entry from the kitchen.

When we were unhappy with certain things, such as the quality of the electrical work, with outlets being installed that were not to standard we explained our concern and this was addressed and changed. We knew what we wanted and Walter, the foreman, and Ascot worked with us treating us as valued customers.

The work done by Ascot Home Improvement Inc. is an example of quality - with top notch finishings, and thought into the project. (Let me just say that when the Ikea stone counter contractor came to measure for the counter top he said he'd "never seen a kitchen so level", 6 months later friends ask about the kitchen and we enjoy cooking in it - this is in part due to the finishings we chose but mainly thanks to the precise installation by Ascot).
