Angelo's Furniture Restoration

Kitchen table was refinished years ago (by a family member) and recently found 3 additional leaves to the table that had not been done at the same time. The original stain was very dark brown, almost black. The table had been stained a medium brown, as had the chairs. One of the chair backs was badly scraped. Had Angelo refinish the 3 leaves and chair to match the table. There was a bit of a mix up as his assistant had originally used the wrong colour stain; however, it was corrected and the final product is beautiful and matches the table perfectly.

During a move, we damaged an antique dining room table. It was pretty badly gouged on the (curved) corner edge of the table. Given the size and location of the gouges, I was not sure it could be repaired properly – but I was wrong. I contacted Angelo and he did such a good job that no one can tell where the table was repaired. He is extremely meticulous. It was a time-consuming multi-stage process repair and his pride and joy in his workmanship would not let him leave until he was satisfied that the job was well done.
After doing 10 months of reno’s and dealing with an incredible number of unreliable trades people (excluding my great General Contractor), dealing with Angelo was very refreshing. Hence, my first posting on HomeStars.

After the July flood, my solid maple chest of drawers, solid maple liquor cabinet and sold oak desk were ruined. These pieces dated from the 1930s and 1940s. I called Angelo's and he came out the same day to give me an estimate. When the furniture was to be picked up he covered the cost. Based on the original stain of the pieces I chose new stains, with his help. Cost of delivery was also free of charge and the movers placed the pieces where I wanted them. The refinishing was exquisite. They look brand new. The desk, which had deep carving in the top was mark-free. I would highly recommend Angelo's Furniture refinishing without a doubt. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and highly skilled at his craft.
