Furnace and A/C

I purchased A/C and Furnace from them 2 years ago and installation was okay. Ever since then I've been dealing with a nightmare of a company on customer service. They initially prided themselves on the great customer service they offer, and gave me all these warranties on paper- unfortunately it's not worth the paper it's written on. Within the first two years A/C had problems. I've had leaks and they had to change the valves because of defects. Each time I called for service, it was 'we'll get back to you'. Two weeks would go by and I call back only to be told 'I've left it with service we'll call you back'. Each time I would call back to see if anyone will come by, I would upset the gal in charge and she would be short with me. I would never get a return call...yet I'm worried my equipment is not properly working. In a two-year span, I've had leaks so naturally I'm concerned and since I have warranty with them I call them. Recently, they charged me for a service call (even though I have warranty on my A/C) and their justification was I had a "nonsense" call and they charge the customer for that. I'm supposed to have 5 & 10 year warranty on parts and labor on the equipment if I have the equipment maintained by them and I missed one year (and they never called to schedule either) so they dropped me! I no longer have warranty on BOTH equipments. So now my 2 year old equipments are no longer covered. I guess once you have problems with your equipment, and demand a little service and they are unhappy with you for any reason, then customer service goes out the window. I would NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone else - they have been AWFUL. I've tried to reason with them, even offered to pay them for the missed maintenance to get my account up to date, but the gal at the office doesn't want to hear me out -she hangs up on me and the last time she told me she wants 'nothing' to do with me and told me never to call them back. The extreme measure they have taken with me is unjustified. I guess once I got on their bad side I got black listed. Their technicians are nice though. So now I just cross my fingers and hope my A/C and furnace won't die on me because I'm not protected.

Furnace and A/C

I purchased A/C and Furnace in mid-2008 from them and ever since then I've been dealing with a nightmare of a company on service calls. They gave me all these warranties on paper but it's not worth the paper it's written on. They have consistenly been untruthful to me about so many things, and the gal in charge at the office, is absolutely the rudest person on the planet. First they told me the energy audit will be covered by them - but they didn't pay the company that does the audit so the auditor told me he's not leaving my house until I paid them. So I had to pay for it yet my contract says they will cover the cost as it was a promotion they had when I signed up with them. The audit company told me point blank they will NEVER do business with them ever again as they FAIL to pay their bills. When I demanded for them to reimburse me, they RED FLAGGED me on their system. Ever since then, I'm treated like a 3rd class citizen. I'm supposed to have 10 year warranty on parts and labor on the furnace equipment and each time I call inquiring about something, they tell me they will get back to me and NEVER do. I missed to maintain with them the furnace in 2009, but they never called me to schedule (as they assured me not to worry they will call to schedule but never did). Now I feel it was a strategy to get out of the warranty they have to honor. Then they told me it's no longer covered because I failed to maintain the equipment ONCE but each time they called I scheduled annual maintenance on A/C. So I had the guy come and do a diagnosis on my A/C and had to pay them $150 to come out and tell me there's nothing wrong. I've had leaks on my A/C twice they had to change the valves - it was a defect - so naturally I'm concerned. NOW i have a 2 year old Furnace and should have warranty covereage but I don't. But what about my A/C which I've maintained? Well too bad! I don't have coverage on the diagnostics because they want to punish me for missing out on the furnace maintenance for ONE year. I can't beli*eve they can get away with this. It seems these small guys are losing money so they're ripping out the hearts of their customers. They have no accountability when they squeeze well intentioned home owners. NEVER use them or you will be sorry I promise you they are AWFUL. On a side note, I'm a professional,educated business owner, who doesn't mind paying for services which are deserved but this is WRONG what they're doing to me and probably to alot of other people.

What do you do when the gal on the other end hangs up on you when you need a service call made to your home regarding an important equipment which you should have warranty on? There is NOTHING you can do about it. So now I just pray and cross my fingers my A/C and Furnace won't die on me because I'm not protected yet when I signed up with them they gave me 5 and 10 years warranty. what good is that to me when the office won't even return my call.

Oh and they have A+ rating on BBB. What?? How is that? I filed a complaint with them in 2008 regarding this company, but it shows on BBB website that since 2007 no complaints filed and they're A+ company? They must pay them good $$$ to have a good rating. IT is borderline fraud. Please if you have been wronged by them, put in a review because as consumers we are not protected from these types of shady businesses.
ps. The technicians are nice though.
