Messy and unprofessional installers and zero customer service after the sale was made.
I would not recommend using this company.

I highly recommend this company, they know what customer service is and will they stand behind their word. I had ordered a garage door from this company and they installed a door I had not selected, when I called the owner he said that they would fix the problem and they did. I didn't have squabble or make endless phone calls or emails. He said they would fix it and they did without any hassle. My next purchase of windows or doors will be through this company.

I made a mistake when I used this company. Poor workmanship! Definitely wouldn't use them again. Staff is not helpful. They don't stand behind their work and avoid the customer after installation. The attached photo shows a new door with cracks created in the first month of installation.

On June 15 /2022 I received a call from Adam doors stating that I needed to remove this review otherwise they would not replace the door panel. This shows how poor their customer service is and with no consideration for the customer. In conclusion 2 months have past with no resolution to the original issue. And I am left with a door that is further deteriorating.

I made the biggest renovation mistake in my life when one my neighbor was getting a quote on garage doors from them and I piggybacked on it without doing my own due diligence on them.

The workmanship are poor. The garage door doesn't go up smoothly and the "premium upgrade" I took for having aluminum cladding around the door frame was done so poorly that it looks a DIY project. The screws were drilled right on the nice aluminum surface with the whole screw head sticking out.

The worst part was they punched big holes in the ceiling of the garage when they installed the garage door frame which is a direct violation of the Ontario building code:

9.10.9.16. Separation of Storage garages
(4) Where a storage garage is attached to or built into a building of residential occupancy,

(a) an air barrier system conforming to Subsection 9.25.3. shall be installed between the garage and the remainder of the building to provide an effective barrier to gas and exhaust fumes

Basically, I cannot even sell the house unless I repair the damage. When I call to report the problem, they took my message and from that point on, COMPLETELY SCREENED OUT all my calls for the next 4 weeks. I even asked a neighbor to call for me and sure enough they were there and picked up. But when I call them right after, the call goes to the machine. I have never seen a company which would completely shutout their customers like that.

After several weeks of trying, I had to hire my own contractors to come in and repair the problems.

Avoid this company at all cost.

Needed a custom solution for my backyard workshop studio that can be opened up in summer, permit large construction etc so worked with Dave at Adams Door systems. Dave quickly sorted me out with the best door to fit my custom size, opens straight up so doesn’t take up valuable space and RValue of 18 to keep my insulated space warm. Its a sweet looking door too. Wall mounted opener with Wifi is silent and smooth. No direct driveway access to my backyard so installers had to carry it all in Which couldn’t have been ideal for them but they sorted it out by early afternoon. Awesome door all around couldn’t be happier with it or the service from Adams.

ADAMS DOOR SYSTEMS is the worst company we had to deal with and we would NEVER recommend it to anyone!!! We purchased a garage door in June 2017 that was due to be installed in 10 days according to the owner, Dave. This is how they actually did their business with us... 6-7 weeks later, we FINALLY got to the installation part - but with the wrong windows on the garage door! We paid EXTRA for those types of windows, but got the much cheaper version. We called the next day and informed them of the situation. That did not help. After multiple calls to the company, talking to his assistant, leaving countless of voice-mails, we decided to go see the owner himself, Dave. When we entered the premises, he recognized us immediately, left the "reception area" and hide in his office with his assistant for about 10 minutes. We just waited there, even though there were no customers in the company at that time. When we finally got to speak to him, he was rude, disrespectful, loud, impolite, and kept rolling his eyes when we spoke to him or tried to ask him questions. We brought witnesses with us and they were appalled by this "businessman" behavior and unwillingness to solve the problem. He was constantly raising his voice when we showed him our agreement (which is still under guarantee by the way). We told him that was not how customers should be treated. His reaction to that was to roll his eyes again. We could not believe it!!! Needless to say, our calls still remain unanswered and now we are stuck with a garage door that was NOT what we had ordered - not to mention overpaid. Please think twice before dealing with ADAMS DOOR SYSTEMS. Their service is bad and customer service is terrible. Lastly, dealing with the owner Dave (to solve our problem) is practically impossible. Do not make the same mistake we did!!! Find another company!

In 2014 Adams Door Systems installed & painted 2 Clopay garage doors on our garage. This year we noticed the doors were delaminating and we asked Adams to submit a warranty claim to Clopay. They replied that they did this and months later we still hadn't heard anything and Adams wouldn't give us direct contact info for Clopay. We found the information on our own and submitted our claim to Clopay. Clopay then asked for the LRV value of the paint. Adams emailed back the approximate numbers from the paint store and we submitted this to Clopay. Clopay sent us a letter denying our claim because Adams used the wrong paint. Adams is denying responsibility and is generally nonresponsive. Everything is great until there is a problem then they don't want to here from you. Buyer beware!!!
Update: Adams Door Systems has now replaced the doors.
