I am long overdue in writing this review. We purchased a bedroom set from Marlee in the fall of 2007, and paid a large deposit. Marlee was very nice until she had our money. We didn't need the set until March 2008 when we moved into our new home, and they said this was not a problem. When the set did arrive, one piece was missing (an ottoman), one of the drawers in the armoire stank like rancid mould (and still does!!!), and there were problems with drawers not sliding properly, and uneven staining of the furnture, and some scratches. Not only that, but we were charged twice for the ottoman, which was eventually delivered about one month later. We believe we were very patient, waiting to be phoned back by Marlee. She gave us quite the runaround. We went into the store and requested that she credit us back onto our credit card for the additional ottoman charge. She told us she couldn't; that it had to be done by her accountant at their office. Many phone calls later, with Marlee clearly avoiding us, being rude, etc., she finally did process a credit and mailed it to us. None of our other problems were addressed. I even spoke with her son and daughter, who are also involved in this business. They were the ones who delivered the ottoman when they finally got it in stock. They saw the other areas of unacceptable workmanship and promised replacement of one of the night tables, and the drawer in the armoire that stinks.....these pieces never came and we finally gave up. These people have very very poor customer relationship skills. Marlee in particular is quite cordial until she makes a sale, then neglects the customer. They really should be ashamed of how they conduct their business. I wholeheartedly warn anyone from making any major purchase in this store.
