Purchased extended warrant for two appliances at Corbeil. I was assured by the Assistant Sales Manager the $300 cost would be refunded if there were no service calls over the 5 year period. I asked him again to verify that the warranty cost would be refunded and he did so. Fast forward to 5 years later and they are not refunding my warranty cost and there were no service calls. The Director of Operations (Vladimir) for Ontario works out of the Burlington location and he told me the refund would be only $150 in the form of a store credit with $75 being applied to a $500 minimum purchase each . So in order to get ONLY 50% back I have to spend upwards of $1000 and it has to be done within 30days.
I do not know if the sales personnel receive commission on warranties but something shifty appears to be happening. Corbeil should take the proper action and refund the warranty once the customer is told by the employee that is the policy.
