Safen came to fix our broken garage door the same day I called. He provided a quote over the phone without having seen the problem. After he arrived, it was evident to him that something was "weird" with our door (story of our whole house!). He replaced the spring and multiple points of connection, and after he was done, showed me where the door was likely to cause problems in the future. Even though the repair might have cost more than he was expecting, he charged the original price quoted over the phone. Because the original installation was non-standard, this door is likely to break again in the not too distant future, and we'll certainly be considering Comfort Garage Doors when we replace it!

We are in the process of assessing roofing bids and need to be sure our attic insulation is both sufficient and well-ventilated. I read horror stories about moisture issues with blown-in insulation. Since we did this work ourselves, and the soffits are difficult to access due to the slope of the roof meeting the rafters, I was afraid they might be blocked. I called Knights and they sent Del to take a look for us. He climbed into our attic and looked on both sides. While maybe we could increase our insulation to improve our R value, he said it is adequate and our soffits are mostly clear, therefore we don't need any work done. We were pleased with Del's professionalism and honesty, and will definitely call Knights should we have insulation needs in the future.
