We did a ton of electrical work removing knob and tube and afterwards I reached out to a few contractors on HomeStars. We ended up going with Davey Drywall, 416.356.7719. It took a full week but all 72 holes were repaired, he replaced a bathroom ceiling and even fully drywalled my 60 sq.ft. storage room. His pricing was very reasonable and they did a good job cleaning up each night. They also primed over each of the holes once they were smooth. I highly recommend Davey and would use him again.

We moved into our house in 2007 and while we accepted that it had knob & tube wiring and was inspected to be safe we always meant to remove it and increase the fixtures. Fast forward 13 years later and we finally did it thanks to the team from Tron Electrical. We had Young as our main project supervisor who brought with him 2 additional electricians. The project was scoped out to be 6 or 7 days worth of work and they finished in 6 days. The cost was absolutely accurate and as I anticipated, we added along the way to increase even more to give us additional flexibility. The team arrived each morning at the designated time and were always polite and friendly. Each night they completely cleaned up the mess (some 60+ holes in drywall and plaster) and left their workspace tidy. They uncovered a number of deficiencies that needed to be fixed up and were always upfront as to what the options would be to minimize the number of lines and holes to be made. Young is a definite highlight of the project and I would ask for him again as the Supervisor.
