Apartment moving and materials
The move was fine and the movers did a fine job, but you can NOT trust the people running this company to give you a refund on your boxes as they promise. They offer $2 back on every box and I have chased a cheque for $105 for three months. Some of my emails have been ignored, some have been responded to with excuses (mat leave, postal strike, cheque's in the mail). I am out $105 for trusting Galaxy Moving. You can't trust these guys to give you a penny back so don't look to them to pick up your boxes -- sell them on your own. Do not buy any insurance from them or you will never see or hear from them again. Responsive until you've paid up. 3 months -- no excuses. UPDATE: I have been contacted after Galaxy Moving saw this review and was accused of playing "stupid games" in an angry email. Previous emails asking where my payment was were ignored. I am disappointed that this is what it takes to get a response. I have spent hours phoning and emailing over the past 3 months and am done pursuing such a small amount of money and won't be driving to Kingsway to pick it up. It should not be difficult to mail a cheque to the same address that was the destination for a physical move. Note: As Brent says below, there was an attempt to email me the money at one point. However, the software they were using was not compatible with my financial institution. Again, I don't understand how mailing a cheque can be so hard. I get mail every day and Galaxy has shown up at my place multiple times as part of the move process. In lieu of a smooth transaction, responding to emails in a non-condescending tone would avoid similar situations in the future.

Hi Michael, Its unfortunate how you have not been truthful. We sent your funds via email and you refused it. We then mailed you a cheque which was returned to our office, we then sent you another cheque which was delayed in the postal strike, but was also returned to our office. We are more then happy to pay you your money but you need to quit refusing it. Come to the office anytime the cheque is here. I know you wanted cash and maybe that's why you refused all our payment options but we do not send cash out it has to be a cheque or email transfer. Brent
