I recently used Rawlinson Moving & Storage for my move between condos in downtown Toronto. I work for a major corporation that moves me often (5 times in 7 years) and have developed high expectations when it comes to moving. After an extensive search online, Rawlinson upheld their great reputation by providing first class service on my recent move. After searching online and scouring the many recommended companies on various websites, I came to one conclusion: it is hard to trust someone with your personal belongings based on a somewhat anonymous review. After Rawlinson did a flawless job moving me in last winter, I ended up going with the only review I could trust: my own. Since this was my first move that I had to coordinate and pay for myself (since company moves were taken care of for me), I found it hard to determine who to use with the countless choices in the Toronto area. As soon as I called Jim at Rawlinson, I knew I made the right choice. From day one, Jim made it clear that he was there to provide me the customer service that I had become so accustomed to in my previous moves. He was extermely responsive and patient with me as I weighed the option of packing myself / having them pack for me and the amount of time required for the move. He had an initial call with me and within a few hours had a detailed quote in my Inbox. It was apparent that this company was an experienced one when I checked their website on the Internet (http://www.rawlinsonmoving.com/). Realizing that the company was founded here in 1885, I was sure that this history spoke volumes about their track record. On move day, the Van Foreman, Patrick, showed up early, ready to get the move started. This is important because any condo mover knows how particular high rises are about the elevator slots. As soon as a mover shows up late, you have a moving horror story on your hands. He moved quickly and skillfully as he backed the truck into position in the underground garage, setting up in a few minutes. Patrick and his crew then efficiently moved all my belongings into the truck, clearing my entire 1000 sq ft two bedroom condo in 2 hours. This included all the disassembly of larger furniture and other miscellaneous items, something I thought might take longer due to the small confines of a condo. They then drove it to the destination where Patrick and his crew then set up within a few minutes of getting the truck maneuvered in the confines of another underground garage. We were all surprised to see the longer walk to the elevator, but they were still able to execute the move in within the allotted elevator reservation. Ryder and Jim got the boxes to and from the elevator while I directed traffic in my unit. I was very impressed with the positive attitude and cheeriness of the crew as that helped take the stress off the big move. I highly recommend using Rawlinson. You don't stay in business as long as they have without great success. This track record is worth more than any review one person can provide. From Jim's helpful and patient pre move consulatiation to Patrick and his great crew, Rawlinson helped alleviate the stress associated with moving. Do yourself a favor and call Jim and his team for your next move. You will not be disappointed!

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

I just got back from another trip and realized that I had not complimented Rose on her great job. I did not realize the cleaning could have gotten even better! She did an incredible job, stopping at nothing to hit every detail. She hit all the things we talked about and more. At one point I found her moving the couch and cleaning underneath! That kind of attention to detail is what I wanted out of your premium service and I got it. Thanks!
