Robbie had been to our house for two major sets of renovations previously. When it was time to put in a huge master ensuite bathroom we knew who to call. The job required joining the existing bathroom with another room: removing the wall/doorframe, re-wiring, moving plumbing to allow for two hanging vanities, building a huge custom walk-in shower, extensive tiling, installing floating cabinets, adding a bidet, drywall, paint etc. Robbie started when he said he would and showed up everyday. We love the new bathroom and would use Raakss again in a minute.

We had Robbie at the house previously to work on many different renovations around the house (including three full bathrooms), so when it was time to redo the kitchen, we knew who to call. Robbie had to strip the entire kitchen bare, put down heated floors under the new hardwood, install all the cabinetry, pot lights (in our 100 year old house - quite difficult sometimes), hook up and install all appliances, paint trim and walls, tiled backsplash, built a custom light box in breakfast room etc. etc. Kitchen came out great. Robbie only works on one job at a time and the cost is always what his estimate says. He is extremely reliable. We will definitely hire Raakss again.

We had Roofworks out to re-shingle our two car garage. They had to knock down an old chimney, replace two skylights (which needed new curbs to be built), remove all existing layers of shingles and replace any rotten wood. They showed up on time, did a fantastic job, and left the area surrounding the garage cleaner than it was before they arrived. Communication was excellent, roof crew were knowledgeable and friendly, very hard workers. We would definitely use them again.

We hired Robbie after reading all the reviews on HomeStars. We were nervous about any renovations after watching too much Mike Holmes. Robbie was a real pleasure to work with. He didn't ask for money up front, he provided a detailed quote, he only works on one job site at a time - which is great - and is more like a magician in some ways with the amazing number of things he can do. On the third floor of our 100 year old house we had decided to switch the kitchenette and bathroom locations. This entailed cutting a hole through the wall, re-plumbing the toilet, 2 sinks, adding a full shower, pot lights etc. There wasn't anything that Robbie couldn't do or had troubles with. In the basement laundry room we had to brick over a window, remove all walls, re-stud, insulate, vapor barrier, drywall and paint. The basement bathroom was taken to the studs and rebuilt, with a hanging vanity, feature wall, tiled walls and floor, shower and pot lights. Again, there wasn't any aspect that Robbie wasn't able to do. In addition to these items, he also installed crown moulding in three rooms, retiled a fireplace, built two closets, and renovated our craft room. We will certainly use his services again.
