We have been using Maxigreen for over 5 years. This year they did not tell us that they no longer spray rocks for weeds. Half our yard is decorative rock. They did not adjust our price, even when asked. They did not respond to emails or phone calls until our contact became repetitive and frequent. They promised to spray the rocks for the last two treatments of the year, but when it wasnt done and I followed up, they said it was because their technicians are trained to not spray anything within 3 feet of vegetation. Strange that for over five years their technicians DID spray, as thats what we were paying for! Maxigreen WAS a good company, but they no longer provide the service they say they will, they do not make it right when weeds prevail and there is absolutely NO customer service. DO NOT waste your money. There are many other REPUTABLE and dependable companies in Edmonton.

A shower on the second floor leaked down to the main floor. We thought it was a pipe or bathtub drain seal, but Simon quickly determined that it was a small crack in the acrylic tub that had been poorly fixed prior to us buying the house. He also noted that the spout and tap fixtures were not siliconed and the overflow valve was on upside down. He thoroughly checked the tap cartridge, found poor gaskets in the hand held shower head, fixed the overflow valve and siliconed everything that needed to be done. Simon was very knowledgeable, thorough and clearly explained what he was doing. An added bonus was that he was super personable! I have made sure to add his name to my address book so I know who to request next time!

Our siding was damaged in a windstorm and our insurance company called Stan Renovations to temporarily fix the damage and to give us a quote for the replacement of siding on the whole house (as the colour was discontinued). Rob came out promptly and removed the damaged siding and sealed it tight so it was able to withstand the elements until we had it replaced. Stan and Rob came out and measured the house and provided a quote. I also got another quote from a highly recommended siding company, but I went with Stan because of their incredible attention to detail. We decided to update the trim by adding a wide capping around the windows and doors. Rob pointed out that we could not have the 6" capping that the other company quoted for as there was not enough room between the window edge and roofline or corners. He also took a good look at the fence gates we had attached to the house and explained how they would secure them, how they would work around our Phantom screen door, and that they would replace the dryer vents and the plastic plates that fit behind electrical and hose outlets. The crew showed up when they said they would, they worked VERY hard, usually from 8 am - 6 pm and the job was finished in six days, as they had estimated. I can't say enough about the crew. They were extremely experienced, knowledgeable, personable and respectful. The site was cleaned up every evening and they did a fantastic final clean up - I only found one screw! They went above and beyond on many aspects, e.g., attached our gate post and finished it wonderfully well, rehung our mail box, house number sign and light fixtures. Our house looks wonderful - thanks to Stan, Jaimie, Justin and Rob! I would HIGHLY recommend this company for siding / roofing needs. They are not only fantastic at the job they do, they are super friendly, honest and fair.

UPDATE: The carpet that was laid did not match the colour on the sample board that I had chosen. After three months of unsuccessfully trying to get the matter resolved with staff, I posted a negative review on Homestars. Immediately thereafter, the owner of the company, Dan, contacted me. Dan came to the house, saw that there was a noticeable colour difference and was open to working towards resolution. A few weeks later the replacement carpet was installed. Thank you for becoming involved and resolving the problem, Dan!
